I've lost 25kg since DS was born 5 mths ago.
I joined up with calorie king online, limited my calorie intake, cut out alcohol and made smarter food choices that kept me feeling fuller for longer - proteins / low GI foods.
I do anywhere from at least 45 mins - 2 hrs exercise each and every day. I don't have days off. I had a goal - and nothing was going to stop me from achieving it - I wanted it that badly. My goal wasn't a number - it was actually wanting to fit into my work uniform pants before I return to work from maternity leave - and I have been able to fit into them for about 2 weeks now.
If you haven't exercised for awhile, start out with walking, brisk walking that is - anything to get your heart rate up - veer away from feeling comfortable; instead work to a point of feeling slightly uncomfortable. Once you find walking no longer challenging, change it up, shock the body and stop the dreaded weight plateau. Sooo many options and things to choose from - I'm a personal trainer / fitness instructor so it was easy for me to think of other things to do, come join us in the exercise tips and chatter thread.
