Well - back from the gym, and I am stuffed!!! We did a step/pump class, and it was so hard! I have almost no upper body strength, so lifting 5 kg repeatedly for an hour was tough! I do feel nice and energized now, but I just know tomorrow I am going to be really stiff and sore!
But harder than the class was leaving DS in the child care there Never done it before. He actually was fine for the most part the woman there said, it was just in the last 10 mins he got upset. We had a big, long cuddle though, and he was fine after a few minutes.
Well, I'm pretty chuffed with myself...DH had a big day/night yesterday at the ANZAC day celebrations and he's been eating crap all morning. We went to Macca's for breaky, but I didn't have anything because I had eaten breaky (porridge and a coffee) before he got out of bed, though I could have eaten something, I just sat and watched as the kids ate their hash browns and DH scoffed his hangover cure, lol. But I didn't even want anything. I just kept thinking of how bad for me it was, that I wasn't even hungry. Then we went to the shops and he had a choccy milkshake and the kids had a little chocolate too. And I still held out!! Yay! And we walked to the whops too. Not a huge walk, but I was carrying my 13kg daughter!
The test for me will be this arvo/tonight when we go to a friends for a bbq. I'm making choc caramel brownies and got some sara lee ice cream to go with it. But just a small serve should be ok! And a propper walk if I can get one in.
Sterla, I love that rush you get after going to the gym! It feels so good. Adn tomorrow just think that stiff soreness is building muscles and fitness!! Good job!!
Hi Girls - I'm so excited today, I just weighed in and was expecting bad results only because AF arrived last night (grrr for timing) and I'm always heavier when I have AF. But, 900 grams down, wahooooooooooooo!!!!!!! It's the first loss since the initial amount I lostiin hospital when I first had Amelia. Just goes to show I was eating too much crap. AND I can get my engagement ring on, next on the list is my wedding band - the fluid is slowly going.....1 down, about 5 more to go lol.
Wow great to see the losses this week, congratulations to everyone!
Maz, good luck gardening and with your boke ride. Sterla glad you had a fun pump class, Id love to try one!
I feel like a fraud... weighed in Saturday, in the next 30 or so hours AF made her slow arrival and I have gained 1.3kg back in water weight. Joy , going to have to work extra hard this week, that fake weight is not sitting there!
Think I'll record no change in weight. Yesterday it was down probably 1.5kg and today it's back up LOL. But i've had bloating on & off lately, and tbh, with my lack of dieting and very little exercise that went on through the week I doubt very much I've shifted anything. Just a fluctuation in weight. I'm hoping my herbal concoction will help sort out the bloating over this next week.
Here's to a new week everyone! Will probably only get to the gym twice this week, unless I go throught the day and get mum to watch the kids or something.
Sterla - nice work at the gym! The daycare thing would be hard for me too. Big hugs to your little man.
Lilias - That is awesome restraint! Woo hoo! And porridge is so good for you. I wish I liked it more LOL.
Alison - Woo hoo on the weight loss!'
DC - the fluid weight from AF is the fake weight. It will go again once AF is gone. You are doing really well!
Well I went for a jog yesterday. I ran a good pace but only did 20 mins as I had my dog with me and he was starting to drag and look a bit over it. So I then did 10 mins on a x-trainer. The jog part was fine but the x-trainer was crazy. My legs felt like jelly after it and I am soooo sore today. I feel like I have had cramps in each calf. Must be using totally different muscles to usual. The park near me has a big circuit of outdoor exercise equipment like x-trainer, rowing machine, etc. and is nice to jog around too so that was a bit of fun.
My cross trainer kills my Krysalyss!! I have given up on it for now until I am feeling a bit fitter so that ten minutes doesnt feel so hard, then i might feel more inlcined to keep getting back on instead of wimping out ;
Great losses everyone !!! Awesome work from everyone.
I'm stuffed too - cos I was at the gym obviously with Sterla this morning (my poor kids are so used to being abandoned by mummy that NONE of them bloody cried.. Eden could of at least showed she missed me!! pffft).
So yes, I'm super unfit, not just unfit - but SUPER unfit, and its hard to do a step/pump class when your knee needs surgery because its been dislocated heaps of times and has heaps of cartiledge (sp?) floating around that grind every time I do a squat (oh the joyful pain of that) plus I only had the metal bar instead of the weight as well because of my sore elbow (DH says its tendonitis, but I'm not sure and don't want to go to doc cos they will put a great big stinkin needle in it to make it stop hurting - therefore I avoid....)
But anyhooooooooooooooooooooooo... I'm stuffed
Having some crispbread with skinny hommus at the moment (yummo!) and probably have an apple afterwards... now if only the toddler would SLEEP (she's refusing..)
Great work everyone . I had a bad eating day yesterday, went way over my calories but I did a 30 minute walk pushing the double pram. Today I stuck to my calories and did 20 minutes on the wii fit free step.
dragoncookie – that’s sounds great. I would be happy with 10kg.
maz – That’s been our greatest downfall, late night eating. And take away.
Rack off Hungry jack add's dont you realise im on a junk food ban!!!!!
I got on my new bike today...OMG I am so unfit. I got to the end of our street and back and I was stuffed . I had the trailer on the back but I was just shocked to how unfit I actually am
plan of attack...walking every second day and riding those days inbetween if it kills me!!!!!!
Well, after showing such great restraint this morning, I have let myself down and had way too much to eat/drink. I had 3 glasses of wine, some cheese and cabanossi, 2 glasses of soft drink, cake (plus the kids left overs).....ahhhh, the joys of weight loss. NOT! But I had a lovely dinner with friends, lol!
Tomorrow is a new day and I will get back to it. A walk will be on the cards, or maybe even a swim....and back to the healthy, reasonable eating!!
So, I am transferring positions within my place of work this week and as such needed to go shopping for more appropriate attire. I committed that I would not buy more clothes until I lost weight and now, a lot of $$$ later I have a whole new wardrobe to wear... Thx Mummy xoxo. How am I go onto push on with weight loss not feeling guilty about when clothes stop fitting soon? Darn. I am grateful but I was looking forward to size 14s and now I have all these new sexy clothes in my cupboard I want to make them last LOL.
Hi everyone
Yesterday I was just ok with my eating. Had some after dinner oven chips so felt a bit guilty about that as by the time they were cooked I didn't really feel like them but ate them anyway.
I went for a long walk because my leg is still so sore from the x-trainer. Then got on the exercise bike for 20 mins. Did almost 10kms so I was happy with that and the bike doesn't seem to work my calf much so it didn't hurt. Hope I haven't damaged my calf though as it still hurts so much this morning.
AF arrived today so a bit blah. Am going to start counting calories today as my eating is really what lets me down and I don't want to put in all of the hard work with exercise only to eat it all back on again.
Anyway hope you all have a great day! Will post tomorrow with results
well for all my good intentions, i really did very little about them!
had a very disappointing first week so this week will be pulling my finger out! i still find it very hard to fit in exercise - i'm a bit of a sook i think & let being tired get to me. which is esp bad when i know that actually exercising will make me feel better & more energised
anyway, my goals remain the same as last week, just need to actually stick to them.
Lovely reading everyone's posts, your all doing so well exercising
I had a great first week with a loss of 4kg's, with 2 cm of waist and hips. I notice my back fat has gone, which I love. I didnt do any exercise, I just cut out ALL (and I mean all) fat foods. I cant believe it actually works.
Try your hardest to cut out fatty foods for a couple of weeks
I'm back on "the wagon" this morning after a long weekend away at a wedding I have just weighed myself and sent in my results but can't find the tape measure anywhere so will have to measure next week. I have lost a kg - but as I wasn't very good - it may reappear next week
Off for another long walk today...and no JUNK FOOD
