Oh sterla - I keep forgetting to say to you - if you wanted to come over and use my treadmill or exercise bike when its raining - its fine with me, and I can watch your DS for you while you do it (as long as you watch mine for me so I can do it too! haha!!)

ControlFreak - If you have HJs just try and minimise the damage. What is it you are actually craving? Have a happy meal (equivalent) with a diet soft drink and you won't do too much damage. The fries are worse than the burger and the mayo sauce burgers are worse than the tomato sauce burgers. I am a vegetarian but went to McD the other day. I got them to take off the meat and honestly the burger didn't taste much different - ha ha!

Stop talking about Hungry Jacks - you're making me hungry!!! LOL

Mel: Thanks for the offer - I may take you up on it, especially if we end up having days and days of rain (which will most likely happen over winter some time).

Sorry to disappoint - I am staying at home and doing my work out DVD now... I weighed myself this morning () and I have been encouraged to stay on the wagon.

HJ's! *puts hands over ears* not listening

Today is so far so good food wise. Yesterday I went way over my limits according to calorie king. No exercise yet, but thinking about putting on the pilates dvd while both kids are currently sleeping.

lol just what I was going to say....KFC, HJs

Liz, that's very interesting about the melons. Will file that away.

    WTG on the bike Maz....

    Welcome back Krys

Bengal, funny you mention that. We're in temporary digs ATM and the easiest thing other than takeaway atm is frozen dinners. Yes they suck but today I went and got some basic equipment to make real food.

grrr this post has taken me fifteen thousand attempts I can't remember what I wanted to
    write....

All the suggestions from yesterday's few q's definitely inspired me to buy some different stuff for snacking and lunch when I did the groceries today.

Food wise i have been quite good. Tomato on toast, muesli bar, salad with turkey for lunch, just had a pear and we're having homemade pizzas for dinner. All within my calorie limit.

I got 20 interrupted minutes on EA sportz, and just went for a hilly walk in the heat.
My weigh in is tomorrow, so better round out the week properly.

DH has only been eating what I give him and has been doing an hour workout every morning.....and yesterday a pair of pants I bought him a fortnight ago were falling down without a belt. He can't wait for tomorrow

That's awesome Kim! I've been the same, inspired by what other people said they were eating, so this morning I had a poached egg on toast - very different from my usual cereal.

I also have discovered the yummiest and I'm fairly sure also fairly low calorie snack... corn thins with a thin spread of sweet chilli, parmesen and cashew dip (CopperPots I think). If you close your eyes you could just think you were eating some yummy chips or something! I'm filing that one away for when I'm feeling weak and want a treat .

I sat down today and read the chapter on my blood type in the eat right for your blood type book and funny thing is, when I eat what I should be eating then my weight isn't really an issue.

So I'm making a list of what I should be eating and will spend tomorrow afternoon going through my recipe books and getting out simple, yummy menu ideas.

I spent quite a few years cooking for people who weren't my blood type and fitting in with their needs/wants and as a result I've put on weight. Now it is my time to eat what is best for me.

The problem is I'm likely to have more than I should (and then fall off the wagon a bit too much for this week's measurements/weigh in)

re the Maca's and HJ's ... when the ads come on . I have to switch channels

I wanted to post that since Boxing Day I have lost 10 Kilo's, I weighed myself tonight. After work I was laying on the couch thinking "I feel a bit skinny ", I promptly hopped on the scales.

I would like to loose another 10 ... It's nice to know that the low fat eating works

Yeah, my plan is to cut back, not cut out. For instance... if I want to dunk biccies in my tea I'll just take one or two out of the tin, not sit with the biscuit tin and eat one after the other... have never counted how many i have.. but it is faaaar too many LOL. If I want chocolate I'll have one piece, not a few rows LOL. If nothing else, it's making me aware of how badly I do eat, and from there I'm just going to try and balance things out more.

And I'm consciously having a drink of water whenever I find myself hovering in the fridge looking for nothing in particular, or I grab a piece of fruit or something. Other than that, no real dieting going on here. Exercise has been minimal this week too oh well.

My DH is an idiot and told me the wrong nutritional content for my Nando's dinner . He read the SAT fats instead of the normal fats out. It's okay though, I CKd it and it made me about 80cals over for today... which considering I only ate half the chips makes me technically 170 cals under....

My fave snacky food is Fruche - yummo!
