1. To feel good about myself
2. To feel confident and sexy and maybe I will put on some sexy lingerie for DH! LOL
3. To stop comparing myself to my sister who looks absolutely wonderful
4. To be healthier
5. To stop sucking in my tummy
6. I want to look like I work out - toned all over
7. To be able to wear the clothes that are in fashion and look good in them
8. To be able to wear shorts and skirts and not worry about my legs jiggling
9. To stop comparing myself with total strangers
10. To smile in photos and not have my face look chubby
Before my wedding I was going to the gym 7 times a week and I was loving it. I thought that I will only go 4 times a week now but I think I may go 7 times again, but I am still not sure! I am a SAHM and I get bored at home so I guess I should!
This is what I was doing before.
Monday: Weights & BodyStep
Tuesday: Weights & RPM
Wednesday: Weights & BodyPump
Thursday: Cardio
On Monday - Tuesday I was going in in the morning and then again in the evening for the classes. May be a little extreme but I was losing up to 1.3kg a week and I lost all my baby weight in 4 months, so it was working for me and I felt so good for doing it. Maybe I will start up again.. Got to think about it!!
1. To reclaim my wardrobe (so many clothes but not many fit!!)
2. To feel good about how I look in my clothes (goodbye muffin tops!)
3. To get back my energy & enthusiasm (severely lacking lately!)
4. To get back the self esteem I have lost
5. To feel more attractive to my husband & myself too!
6. To change my eating habits for good
7. To set a good example for my DD
8. To lose the weight I gained by eating instead of smoking (but still not smoking yay!)
9. To be able to wear fashionable clothes & have them look good
10. To stop hiding behind jeans, track pants & baggy tops
11. To get back to my pre-pregnancy weight before TTC #2
I just had our usual "Mummies group" play date (4 mums, 1 Dad, 15 kids in age from 8 months to 5 years......effing chaos).
We all bring snacks, and Bakers Delight ALWAYS features.
We also had homemade choc chip muffins.
BUT I RESISTED EASILY! I was amazed at how easy it was to contol the habit of picking!
I took cut fruit and iced coffee (made with skim milk) for everyone, and just had that, so I am VERY proud of myself!
I am listening to a self hypnosis CD, so I am wondering if that is really working without me realising it?? Hope so!
Plus I took the opportunity to do a few laps of the park with a stroller (the 8 month baby needed to be walked to sleep!) so I offered for the excerise, which has reminded me I need to get my pedomiter back out again!
ok girls i need some serious motivation god help me i went and weighed myself today after i had my ct scan done here was me thinking i'd lost at least 1-2kg i had a seroius iced coffee addiction but i have gone cold turkey none, nothing.... and have been really super trying to eat good and i thought i had but NO ...... i gained 1.4 kg how in gods name did i mangae that did i not weigh myself properly to start with ( thats what i'm hoping but doubt it ) i could just cry i so wanted a dirty big family block to soothe my aching ego but i resisted i know i can't exercise much because of my back but pleeeaseee even a loss of 500 grams i would have been happy with arrrgh sorry to ramble i'm just so ****ed with myself
when did you weigh yourself last time, was it the same day and same-ish time?
AF and water consumption will also make a difference.
Your weight can fluctuate by as much as 3 kilos in a day!
Thats why its important to only record it once a week, same time/day etc for a more accurate reading (I worked out which day and time had the most favourable results and used that! he he)
Shazz - its also recommended to weigh yourself in the mornings before you eat anything and after you have been to the toilet. I have also heard that if you weigh after a shower, it may be inaccurate. I make an exception of this tho, I weigh myself after I had both breasts fed from and this is also after breakfast and a walk/run with the dogs. It may change tho to first thing in the morning as DD has a new routine.
Mitch - I also find that drinking water helps keep me full so I am not snacking. But its also good not to have any snack food in the house! LOL Gotta love it when you're broke PMSL
I took a trip to the fresh fruit and vege place and bought heaps of apples, pears, grapes, watermelon and honeydew melon and heaps of vegies. So I am planning to have some fruit when hunger strikes!
I've also got my exercise plan underway. I get up at 6am and have breakfast and feed DD. Then I take the dogs out for a walk/run, get to the gym by 9.30am and be home by 11am. And then depending on the day, go to a class around 6 or 7pm. I'm excited! I'm going to kick this last 10kg in the butt.

I jarred my back yesterday when doing the third couchto5k workout, currently self-medicating pain relief (white shiraz & ice-pack) after the chiro visit.
Kaz - I'd love your recipe, why don't you start a "NYBTC Recipes thread" either here or in the Food section? (still not used to another Kaz)
OK, I'm going to start my 10 reasons ... it may take a while and I may need to edit this post a few times, but hey ...
10 reasons for Kazbah to loose weight:
1. To be a good role-model to my son.
2. For exercise to be a part of life, not something special.
3. To fit into my uniforms and work clothes pre-pregnancy
4. To fulfill my yummy-mummy dream.
5. To be at my goal weight healthily, not as a result of depression or other illness.
6. To not feel frumpy.
7. To do my breast reduction justice.
8. To help conceive the next bub.
9. To encourage DF to "be naughty" in other places
10. To be healthy.
lol kinda couldn't get naked at the shopping centre i finally found one of those weight machine that does BMI height and weight so i went back to the same one i originally weight in on
Hey well done girls who are exercising and resisting temptation .
Shazz - I agree with RayRay about the AF - I always find that I weigh more in the week before AF and then it goes down again the week after regardless of what I eat - could that be a factor? Also, I was wondering if because you have changed your eating habits your body has had a mild freak out and put weight on to try and compensate? Good on you for resisting the family block. I was once told that you have to be losing or gaining weight in the same direction over 2-3 weeks before you can be confident in the pattern so hang in there hun, you can't control the gain but you can make sure it doesn't get any bigger and starts going in the opposite direction (hopefully soon!).
Kaz(Bah) - thanks for the idea - I did post the recipe last night on another thread around here somewhere but will start a new one to keep it organised. It is weird to have two of us but I get that a lot I just couldn't think of anything really original when signing up to BB.
Shazz- i know how you feel, I am starving and cranky and don't feel any thinner. I have been a b#tch all day and I just feel sooooo hungry. This is where I need willpower the most! I walked 1km tonight with the kids at least.
It's well over 35 here again today (so what's new?) so there ain't any walking happening here. There is a new gym down the road though so I'm going to have a look at that Thursday.
Wow Ngala, that's the kind of resolution I'd LOVE to have! Well done!
