Wow Sopdet!!! That is so awesome!! Well done! You are doing such a good job, i can tell you are giving it 150%, which is really inspiring for me I have decided to definitely get myself the heart rate monitor, i have been checking out the brand you have, they are $199 in rebel, or you can buy them on bay for around $135 new, is that a good deal? I have decided i am going to sell my ergo and my oi oi nappy bag so i don't feel so guilty about buying myself something! LOL.

PRMG- welcome back!! Hope you had a great time! Your rides sound like so much fun! I agree with chucking away the scales! They are getting me down too...

Onyx- great work with your cardio! I jumped back on the rower today and got 2ks in 12 mins, so i will try 3ks tomorrow How awesome that your boys can do skiing lessons! We are too far away to go every week. I am a huge perisher fan, but DF is a thredbo fan. I don't like how steep thredbo is, i would much rather go on long runs and not have any tricky steep bits to get through and freak me out! Maybe i am really a cross country skiier. I am thinking about arranging a weekend down there just DF and I this year, we have never left the kids before though!

Jayne- WOOOHOOOOO!! I can't believe you are still losing so well so close to your goal! You are a machine! How many more weeks do you have till your trip back?

AFM- its DD's 4th birthday tomorrow so i need to get moving and wrap up her presents! I picked a spot for weigh in this morning and am still 1kg heavier than 2 weeks ago, but at least its not 3-4kgs heavier like i was seeing earlier! I made it to the gym this morning and did mainly a strength workout with about 30 mins cardio (cross trainer, rower and bike, 10 mins each). I'm back tomorrow so will try and make it mainly cardio, perhaps do a class! Food wasn't too bad today, not as good as a work day but not as bad as any of the other home days i have had recently! Probably helped by the huge argument DF and i had so i didn't spend the day with him!

Raupe- where are you?? How are you doing?? Don't ignore us

APPLETREE _ Don't compromise yourself when it comes to buying something for your weight-loss journey! Honestly darl, if it gets you closer to the weight you want to be, it's worth its weight in gold. Don't feel bad for spending cash on yourself - you deserve it! Mummies are usually the 'glue' of the family - if Mummy comes unstuck - so does everybody else! I'm wondering if it's your scales that are actually in need of calibrating? 3-4kg difference just doesn't sound right. Are they old ones? Maybe whe you're investing in the monitor you need some scales too - or just a good tape measure!

SOPDET _ So proud of you darl! Well done! You deserve that 1kg loss. I'm cheering you on girl!

Gotta dash girls, not the thing you want to hear, but the girls & I have baked a caramel apple pudding for dessert tonight & it's calling me from the oven!

I got mine from Rebel because I couldn't wait

I also have the Berlei High Performance Sports Bra, which has the holding straps for the heart rate monitor. It also gives me enough support because of my size.

The one I have is also waterproof to 30m so will try it out when I start swimming.

Some days it is really hard to drag myself to the gym, but I make myself.

I'm contemplating doing some burlesque classes, just to mix it up a bit. Crazy I know but it is something I've had my eye on for a while.

Sorry i have been MIA girls, a very busy couple of days.
Haven't weighed myself but i might have a quick look in the morning before we head off camping.
I have packed Salad, veggies, apples and pears and a few other goodies but mainly the normal crappy camping food but i will be chasing after 2 girls, walking for fishing and looking after the invalid (aka DP), also putting up and taking down the tent on my own.. so i should stay nice and active to work off the crap.

On a good note though i pulled out an old pair of boardies today, tried them on and they FIT!
They used to be ok around the waist but VERY tight on my thighs and butt, not anymore

Sorry i don't have more time for personals, will try and get on while i am away, off to pack clothes, do the dishes, pack towels and have a quick shower and bed before our early start.. CAN'T WAIT!

    Hi girls

Onyx - well done on your cardio I agree with the others - you've probably built up your muscle, great news!

PRMG - yeah I don't have any scales either, going by how I feel.

AT - you sound very motivated, keep at it!

Jayne- so glad to read you got the dress! Wow 22 kgs, that's excellent. Enjoy dessert

    Sopdet - 35cm go girl!

ZF - sounds like you'll be very active! Have a great time camping. Oh and well done on the shorts!

I'm feeling good at the moment, been getting out for walks sometimes twice a day have REALLY picked up the pace too, didn't realise how slow I was walking with the pram! However with all my abdo workouts I think I've managed to seperate my abdominal muscles again, just shows how unfit I am I guess Feels like when I had Moo! So am just concentrating on the cardio side of things for now. My diet is okay. Taking a leaf out of Sopdet's book & keeping salad in the fridge, I think even DH is enjoying the change. I haven't measured myself again but I feel better, my jeans today didn't seem uncomfortable which is an improvement. Bought a dress for an upcoming wedding - size 10 Yeah I know sizes differ but felt good anyway!

Thank you for this thread. Even though I don't post much, I still think of all you girls daily, you're keeping me honest!

ZF _ Enjoy the camping! You're so brave going when DH is not able to help do the tent. Tents & I don't go well together! bahaha. Awesome job on the shorts as well! That's proof right there girl! Rock on!

CHEEZEL _ How much weight exactly do you want to lose? I don't want you to tell me what you weigh, but if you're already a size 10. Man I'd love to be a size 10................ Also, well done on 2 walks per day, plus upping the intensity!

SOPDET _ I love you have all the tools of the trade! I'm like this too - I like to get all the parts, to make sure the machine is well equipped for the task at hand! 35cm is more than a standard ruler you know!!!

APPLETREE _ to your gorgeous DD for tomorrow. I hope her day is full of cupcakes, fairy bread, rainbows, butterflies, tiaras, lip gloss & sparkles!!! (All the things that rock in our house! bahaha).

PACKRAKMG _ Glad you're back here with us & that your trip was great!!! The bike rides sound great!

ONYX _ Oh wow, how awesome for your boys to take lessons! That is wayyyyy cool! You sound so hardcore talking 'vertical'. I love it! I went to Thredbo when I was 17 & I got altitude sickness I would LOVE to go skiing here in China and give it another go. We were going to go in Beijing over Chinese New Year, I don't know why but Claudia had like an anxiety attack over going. I have no idea why, but I didn't want to freak her out further but actually taking her to a ski field. She was going nuts as it was over it. So we bailed. Next time though!!!

RAUPE _ You feeling better chick?

Dessert was freaking awesome, but gosh, I feel ill now. I had a kids size serving of the pudding & probably a tablespoon of vanilla icecream at most & I feel so sick with so much sugar overload that it's not funny. At least I know my body isn't dependant on sugar to get through the day!!! lol

Off to go apartment shopping again tomorrow. Wish me luck ladies. I'm going after Zumba so I'm at least going to be in a good mood.

    xx

Ah Melzi - you know what - when we are in Aus, our 'home' is Waikiki!!! If I were in Aus we could go together. Bugger!!!!
Honestly give it a whirl - you will absolutely love it. I HAD to go on my own, I had just moved here, I knew nobody - but I love it.
There are classes at Aqua Jetty, YMCA Warnbro, Star Ballroom - just to name a few. I have googled them already because when I'm in Aus for a week in April & a month in June I'm going to take some classes there. Just to see how much they differ from Qingdao to Aus. My teacher now is American & she rocks! I'm actually envious of the way she can move! How pathetic is that? lol

I agree melzi, just go on your own to be honest, if your anything like me you will be grateful there are no witnesses to how silly you look for the first few times! Lol. I haven't been to zumba in ages now, df has soccer training that night this season so I haven't been able to go, maybe I will make it to the Sunday afternoon class this week though!

Jayne, I got some great new scales a couple of months back, the problem is our house! There does not seem to be a single flat surface anywhere... It is a beautiful old renovated railway workers cottage, which has been extended out the back, the only surfaces that aren't carpeted are the bathrooms, laundry and kitchen, and they all seem to be bowl shaped! I have gone with the doorway to our ensuite as my best option, but there is still a definite wobble when I put them down! I am thinking about trying the front porch next might have to put some clothes on though, lol!

Hi everyone, I just can't keep up in here! Too chatty

ZF, have a great time camping- woohoo on your shorts! That is great!!

APPLETREE _ you're house sounds so funky!!!!!!! Now I understand what you mean - I'm thinking, seriously woman!!! lol. Do you have a really big chopping board? One that you can put underneath the scales to stand on to create a smooth surface?

WooHoo I love standing on the scales and seeing a loss!!!!!!!! But I'm being good and not updating my ticker, will only do that for official 12wbt weigh ins each Wednesday morning.

I'm off to do a killer 2 hour training session with some of the girls from the challenge today, also have to do my fitness test (we do one every 4 weeks), lets see how much faster I can run/jog 1km today considering I've been able to actually run lately (did 5 mins without stopping on the treddie the other day).

If the carpet is the flattest surface, then do the above suggestion!!! It does work, I've had to do it before.

SOPDET _ All this energy you have is making me feel rather lazy!!! lol. I jogged on Thursday, but no cross-trainer, I did Zumba yesterday, but no cross-trainer. I'm thinking today I need to get my backside onto the cross-trainer............... lol I can't wait to hear how you go jogging the 1km!!! I reckon you can do it girl!

Oh & just a lil update on me, I'm pretty sure we found an apartment............... will keep you posted. Another stress off the list if we have! & our passports arrived yesterday. So actually 2 stresses off the list.

Sopdet that is awesome! Enjoy your training session Hope you get a good 1k time. I have been working on my running these last few weeks so i am going to test myself this week too! I am getting sore shins though from the treadmill, i never used to get sore shins running outside. I guess i had better pack my gym gear in, our boxing session has been cancelled for this afternoon and we are just having a coffee instead, so i was planning on going to a movie and then walking home, but maybe i will do a gym session as well afterwards.

I might give the chopping board a go, so long as the number is smaller i am happy! LOL. I have been so bad this week though, DF cooked a roast for lunch yesterday and then we went and had thai for DD's birthday dinner + a chocolate mud cake! Today i have had some more of the roast, he made the most delicious chilli jam to go with it and it is addictive! He also keeps baking foccacia so i have been having that as well! Aarghh, if only he wasn't such a delicious cook...

appletree, check your running style on the treadmill, you may find you're doing a "heel first", which is what used to give me shin splints, I've been watching lots of youtube videos on correct running style, and making a conscious effort to correct my style when on the treadmill, seems I'm ok running outside. Didn't do the 1km time trial today, probably should have done it before we started the training session, by the end I was too exhausted. I did burn 550cals today, wanted to burn more but it was fun being outdoors, kicking footballs around, doing circuts etc with other people. Might see how I'm going and go for a run along the beach tonight before it gets dark. Also probably shouldn't have had the champers etc before heading out (next door neighbours birthday, when she realised I was awake she headed in with a glass for me)

Ok, I will check out you tube on how to do it properly! I ran my little heart out and managed 7:35! Pretty happy, I know I will smash it up next time as I had two 90 second walks in there, and a third 60 sec walk. I can definitely go harder next time! Also managed 3500 row in 19 mins, did a zumba class, half of a very odd fitball class which was basically zumba sitting down, and another k on the cross trainer. Very sore and tired now!

APPLETREE _ Oh my goodness!!! Look at you go girl! I am SO impressed! You are such an inspiration. Well done!!! The 1km run was a great effort & now you have a marker to improve from. WTG!!!! Also, completely agree with Sopdet on the running style on the tready. Exactly the same thing happened to me. I ran heel first & as a result was always holding my toes up (well flexed??) & gave my shins a really hard time. Even walking on an incline on the tready gave it hell too. Since running outdoors, I haven't had an issue, so it has to be some sub-conscious thing of being on the tready!!!

Girls, I got myself a smoking hot pair of white jeans today. I have NEVER had white jeans before. They show up too many lumps and bumps. I tried them on, ready to be disappointed, but I'm really happy with how they fi & feel. I can't wait to be able to get a really spunky pair of wedges or strappy sandals to wear with them, but I'll have to stick with my ankle boots for now, until it warms up. They are bootlegs from Zara & I'm loving them!
