Apple - Soccer training isn't too bad for a workout but it depends on the coach. Games are certainly an amazing workout - if you play the whole game you probably burn off around 1300 calories! Sometimes at training if we are just skills training then we might be doing kicks or throw ins and then you might not get the work out you are after. Having said that it probably goes for 90 mins or so so it would be way better than a 30 mins jog. I put down 500 calories for a 90 min training session but that is probably conservative. I know if I am training with guys I really put the effort in as I am not one to let a guy show me up LOL. And it isn't unusual to let other people join in for training but expect that they will try and recruit you for the ladies team. I have to say that I love soccer and it is really what turned my fitness around from an "I hate exercise" kind of person to someone who will actually voluntarily jog just so I can play better on the field. You are just too busy running after the ball to focus on other things. Indoor soccer / futsal is awesome if you can do it as it is 40 mins of fast running around a court and after a few weeks you start to feel like 40 mins just isn't long enough because it is so fun and great for fitness. HTH . I know 2kg is a lot to lose but once I go under 70kgs I really drop to about 1kg a month. Just wish i had kept it off over last summer then I wouldn't be here again!
