Ah yes, thats true Astrid about sharp knives. We don't eat steak and don't have steak knives. I generally put the sharp knives horizontally along the top shelf and put the small paring knives down... Mostly... Sometimes they get put in pointy end up but they aren't really that sharp. I probably should be more conscientious about putting them down though.
