Tarkine - I didn't see him on telly, i saw him IRL, but my sister saw him on the telly.

Thinking about donating blood as they need negative types. anyone know how old Em needs to be? can i get away with doing it a couple of weeks before she reaches 9 months?

Sorry Ali - I have never donated blood so I don't know. I have this irrational fear that if I do give blood it will make me even more anaemic. I have no medical reason for this whatsoever - one day I must get brave enough to go and find out...

    Hi Ladies,

Thanks all for your good wishes...here's hoping...

Ali - I believe it is only pregnant woman, and 6mths after delivery (or miscarriage as was my case) ...
I'd say you're good to go whenever you can - I know they are always in need and go whenever I can..

    Have a good night girls..

ali.. found this on the blood donation site

    Breast-feeding - I am breast-feeding. Can I donate?

It is not advisable to donate blood while breast-feeding. Following childbirth, the deferral period is at least 9 (nine) months (as for pregnancy) and until your baby is significantly weaned (i.e. getting most of his/her nutrition from solids).

    hee-llo my lovelies,
I haven't been around much this week, been resettling in to work and have just been a bit exhausted which always seems to happen when I take a week off work LOL!!
have had a good week got heaps done and have nearly finished the 90 odd mothers day presents not bad considering I only started on Monday.
Paige and I had Wednesday off I had forgotten it was Bananas In pyjamas concert Paige nearly pooped her nappy when B-1 and B-2 came out her face was really funny it was like.........you are so BIG...you are not supposed to be so BIG!!!! but once she got over her initial shock she grooved along and danced to all of the songs.

DH got a phone call before he was due to start work to tell him that they have changed him to a different crew so instead of starting Wednesday on day shift he started Tuesday night on night shift, he was really upset about it and I kind of see his point.

He had just started making friends and spending time out of work hours with his other crew members and he had got a flat mate because he found it really lonely living away by himself so now with this change he is working on the opposite shift to all of his mates and has now virtually returned to living alone as his flat mate starts work as he finishes.
In one fell swoop they have totally destroyed the only social life DH had when away and it is fairly essential to have this when you are away from your family for so long.

I told him to talk to management and just make it known that although he is willing to do what is asked of him, he would like to be considered as soon as possible for a transfer back to his original shift crew.
I feel so sad for him he sounded really down, we may even drive down on Saturday to keep him company for a little while.

    Hey everyone!!!

I so hear you Blizz on being flat out!! It's the first week back and I feel like I haven't stopped!

I would love to have seen Paige's face with the big, scary B1 and B2! Glad she got over it though.

That's really mean to do to someone - did they give any reason why he was chosen? I hope that DH can move back to his old crew soon.

    Tarkine, Ali and Lulu,

Obviously I am the only one with paranoid feeling about giving blood! What did you end up doing Ali?

    Lissie,

    How you doing out there?

As for me - busy, busy, busy!! But by next week we will have a new car, a new couch and a new bass guitar. Then I'm hoping things settle down for a while.

they needed to move a trouble maker from the other shift and they just pulled DH's name off the list so nothing intentional
sorry I think I forgot to say a general Hi to all!!! hope you are all travelling well,
I am off to watch the ghost whisperer (even though I should ban myself from watching it when DH is away I have nightmares from it some times)

poor biddie wants to know if he/she can come to visit one of you guys, is getting sick of mummy sneezing and sending him/her on a rollercoaster ride LOL!!!(been sneezing on and off for the last hour)
