I am really interested in learning more and hearing from others who homeschool and how it all works. Maybe we can leave this thread as that and start another one about the differences and pros and cons of HS vs mainstream?

Thanks heaven, that was exactly the point of this thread. Unfortunately there are people who seem to take offence over anything I say which is really upsetting and disappointing for me as I really was only after hearing from others who homeschool.

I don't feel like I should have had to justify myself for my reasons in this thread, should I?

That's cool though, I just brush it off because I know what is right for me and my family.
