I know what you mean about the weight issue, i have that problem aswell, well i have been told that it's more harder for women to loose weight with PCOS .
I am glad your gyno has actually trying to help you, my gyno never even discussed any other possibilities apart from considering IVF;( any ways i am no too sure on the side effects on clomid myself, but if you google it i'm sure it might give you the info you are wanting.
