We are serious homebodies! HAHA. But we do venture out for coffee occasionally. We are currently in the middle of moving house (CHAOS!) but when things have settled down a coffee could be nice. Thank you for being so welcoming

Hey Shades, I noticed in your blog that you went through QFG? We were curious about your experience with them, but I don't know how to send a private message haha. Sorry.

I thought they were great - there's an initial registration fee which was a little annoying but then you get free access to a psychologist and stuff as a perk so it balances out... The doc I went to was Dr. Gordon Kilvert and he's really great - I can also recommend Dr. Hine - he'll keep you laughing

Oh and you won't be able to PM until you've posted 25 times or 50 times or something... Can't remember the number.

Hello just wanted to introduce ourselves. New to forum and still finding my way around. My name is Soo and my partner is Gerri, we are newly married in April surrounded by our families and friends and a breath taking committment ceremony and are discussing children. We are leaning towards home insemination (a friend has kept the turkey baster in a safe place for years!!lol)with a known donor but not sure where to find information that may help us on our journey. We live in Victoria and would appreciate any help or guideness. Take Care Soo

    Hey Sood,
If you have not yet found a donor you could check out the website or you can look on pink board. We also used a known donor and have just come home from Melbourne after doing an artificial insemination. Any questions you have feel free to ask away

Hi all, I'm new here too.
My name is Kris and my partner is moving to Australia from America to be with me, we want children so we've been doing all sorts of research then I found this group and thought I'd join

We'll probably be using IVF with donor sperm, we're just looking into all the rules and requirements when it comes to that. Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories, it really makes things easier for us newbies

    Hi!

    Hey everyone.

It's lovely to meet all of you.

I'm erin, I'm in my first year of my Bachelor of midwifery, and I heard this was a great site to hear about everything to do with my future career, and meet people.

As part of my course I have to have 20 'follow through journey's' over the three years. Which just means meeting pregnant women, less than 35 weeks along, and going to at least two ante-natal appointments and two post-natal appointments with them. Anything beyond that is completely up to the women. I act as extra support for you and your partner, just someone to talk to and ask questions and have a coffee with, if that's what you'd like. Someone to be your advocate, to give you support to have a pregnancy and birth that is right for you.

So... about me. I'm a lesbian, and saw this section, and thought how great it would be if any of you would like a student midwife with you for your pregnancy. Not as just a great opportunity to experience the diversity of women I will inevitably come across in my study and career. But also, hopefully being a lesbian, would maybe provide that extra support and understanding, and just an another person to be able to identify with. Not to mention, adding to a great knowledge base for other lesbians, and myself, when I have my own beautiful babies.

If anyone is interested or knows anyone who is, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for reading my little essay!

    Erin xox
