though I'm not in QLD and haven't used them myself, I've heard good reports about Queensland Fertility Group being very accepting of lesbian couples.

    Hi everyone

After reading through this thread I thought i'd do an intro too! I'm Wendy and with my partner of 7 yrs Nic, we are awaiting the arrival of our twins concieved through donor insemination - a 'home job' as we like to call it. I already had 2 children from a previous hetro relationship who are now 13 and 9 and very much looking forward to being big brothers to thier new boy and girl siblings. We live in a northern WA town which is surprisingly good, but we miss being a part of a glbti community.
I'm almost embarrased to say how easy it was for me to get pregnant The twin thing was quite a shock though! Because we are expecting twins we get a lot of people asking if we concieved 'naturally' or through IVF. I am constantly amazed at how intrusive complete strangers can be with thier questions about conception!

Anyway, great reading through the forum and good luck to all the lovely ladies TTC!

    xx

    Smile Hello

Hi all... I'm Rachel. Just found this forum thanks to the SameSame Forums.

My partner Jo and I are just about to begin the journey of starting a family. It seems like such a long road ahead of us. It's very daunting.

We live in Toowoomba and are planning on going to the Queensland Fertility Group in Brisbane. Our first job is to find a Specialist Doctor. Would love it if anyone has any recommendations of which doctor to see at Queensland Fertility Group. Hope the waiting list isn't that long...

All advice or experiences are very welcome.

Anyway, What a great forum this is. Look forward to chatting with you all.

    Jo and Rach
