Hi girls, I accidently deleted all my subscriptions about a week ago and lost this thread
but you gals have all been pretty quiet anyway. Hope you are all well
belfie you lucky duck finishing work already, I've got 4 weeks left (12 days) YAY. Rest up hon as much as you can and enjoy having your mum there to help out. how good does your porridge sound! I am going shopping later today and will pick up some more maple syrup and have porridge tomorrow!
Dr.Tal congratulations again on the arrival of your little man BrockI hope your dh kept his hand away from you
Audax I've been thinking of you lately hon and wondering when your scan is? Are you finding out gender and how have you been feeling?
Kirsten another one I've been thinking of, golly gosh the time is flying! You'll be having your 19 week scan soon too!
allejane did you end up canceling your gym membership? I had a 6 month pilates membership which I've been going to 1-2 times a week for a 1 on 1 class. I have 5 classes left but I don't think I am going to do them. They have all the equipment and I do lots of the exercises on those but there are heaps that I am meant to do on the floor and over the last week or so my knees have really started to swell up and I find even squatting down to get stuff from the bottom draw in the fridge strains them. I have some other restrictions too in the pilates class so I figure I just wont go... The good news is that dh would like to go to the classes seeing they are already paid for (if they will let him use up the last 3 weeks membership)
With my knees starting to blow up I am really starting to feel heavy and overweightI have put on 15kgs
and everything I read says the average weight gain in the last tri is .5kg a week so that would mean that by the time bub arrives I would have gained 20kgs! OMG! now I know it's not a time to be stressing about 'weight gain' as such but I am really starting to feel very uncomfortable and I'm naturally starting to think about loosing weight (after the baby arrives) I've been considering what method I will use etc Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Calorie counting, 'just eating well'. Has anyone else thought about what they will do after the birth to trim down? I'm leaning towards Jenny Craig as it's the lazy way cause then I wont have to cook any food or weight watchers cause I think the group support would be great. Calorie counting has worked for me in the past but don't think I'll have the brain space to do that after bubs is here and 'just eating well'.... I'd like to think that is the way to go BUT I am pretty sure it's wont be enough to keep me on track and I want results not up one week and down the next. I plan to just eat well for the 1st 2 months as dh will be home so we can both cook etc and then when he goes back to work I will start my slim down routine / weight loss hopefully after 2 months of breastfeeding I would have lost a fair bit anyway
I'm heading to the dentist today for a scale and clean and I will be picking up all the last little bits for bubs room woohoo
