I drink filtered tap water at home, from out brita jug, and we have a neverfail water at work, so thats what I drink the majority of the time.

MIL is horrified that we give DS filtered water, apparently its bad for his teeth?

Only if the filter can remove flouride! Which is teeny tiny and VERY difficult to filter.... Check your brand, but if DS is using a properly flouridated toothpaste i doubt it's a concern.

Well.....2 litres! I'm off to bed soon but not for long because i'll no doubt be up half the night peeing...

Ok, my aim for today is 2L. Am drinking a 350ml glass now, lets see how I go for the day!

Ok I'm starting the day with a 250 ml glass of water (I don't mind Melbourne tap water... it's the best in the country... I've tried all capital cities tap water except Darwin and Hobart) it's delish.... anyhow... how hard can drinking 7 more be??? (ie 2L) Gonna try to knock 'em off early so i'm not peeing all night! When do you reckon should be my last? 6pm? Earlier?

Good work Rayray I've had a cup of coffee AND a cup of tea (special morning tea with Rroryrory) so that means i'd better make sure I rehydrate! Had 3 cups of water now... 750ml as well.

I also used to make sure that I (sorry TMI) peed "clear" at least once a week.... it was when I was trying to clear zits... I guess that will be happening for us too soon and our skin will benefit... don't get zits anymore but now the issue is wrinkles!!! Let's hope they 'plump' out a bit!

Hey, this is actually gonna help me in a few ways, glad I found this thread! I've been trying to drink more water, but am never sure how much, and then i don't keep track and end up thinking "oh, well thatone glass, at least it was something..."

First of all, its gonna help because water is good for you (though, geez, this peeing thing is getting crazy!). Secondly, it's going to (hopefully) prevent me from reaching for the coffee or coke, and from snacking a zillion times a day! And thirdly, I am currently quitting smoking, so reaching for the water has helped today, rather than looking for the packet of smokes or the chocolate...!!!

    800mL down! Yay!

I just passed my 2L aim. I think I'm definitely going to have to pace myself at work and leave some room for more water and my peppermint tea when I get home

LOL Sarah - have you tried the hot water option - boiled water with no additives??

everyone seems to be doing really well - yay!!

i have to admit, the last few weeks, i've been slacking off on my water drinking at work (make up for it after, but what's the point if you can't pace yourself, right??) - today i actually ran out of water for the first time in ages!! it was only 1.3L, but i was quite amused that i'd rung out! might have to start taking two pump bottles instead of a pump and a 600ml - looks like this challenge is working well for me too (can't tell Sarah she has to have a L by the time i get home from work if i can't do it myself!! lol!)

I've noticed this thread over the last couple of days but have been too scared to look and challenge myself as I know how difficult I find it to drink anywhere near enough water. I have cut down my caffeine intake over the last few months and am doing well with the coffee but have noticed the amount of pepsi max I am drinking is creeping up again. I am now being brave by joining in on this thread and I am now challenging myself to the water challenge!
