    Am I insane??

Well, I have done it! I've just booked my trip to UK, i'm leaving in just over 3 weeks. I booked it so close so I don't get a chance to change my mind lol! It's going to be me on my ownsome with DS-7, DD-5 and DD-16months

Am I crazy? I think I just might be!! I have taken the trip with DS when he was 16 months but then it was just him and I. I have also done it a couple of other times with the other two but not with three.

DOes anyone have any advice? The first flight is in the evening for about 9 hours so I figure they will all sleep for most (please ) of it. Then, after about 3 hours in Singapore the second flight will be about 13 hours

I'm not too worried about the older two, but I am concerned about the little one. She is VERY determind and head strong and if she doesn't want to do something then you will hear about it!

Any tips and ideas of what to take for her? She doesn't really play with toys that much but i'm going to need lots of things to distract her.

Any help will be very much appriciated

    TIA

    You aren't insane....just adventurous

There will be movies and a kids channel on the plane. Also magazines etc. Does she like drawing - you could take some crayons. Also I found this awesome thing at Melbourne Zoo the other day although it is a little bulky - it is a travel table for kids with a magnetic scene set (a jungle scene and you can place the animal magnets around) and also has a drawing set. Cant wait till DS is old enough for it.
You could also take an old camera for her or an old mobile.
Take no-preservative treats - to avoid hyping her up too much.

HTH! I am sure it will all be worth it.

    Good on you!!!

A friend of mine has just gone back to the UK with her DD 5y/o and DS 2y/o... she was telling me that you can get them games to play(obviously this is better for your little one), but wrap them as presents first (lots of sticky tape) that way they have to get through all the wrapping paper first and then get to the game - might buy you an extra 1/2 hr... i know thats not much on the long haul, but its one idea to keep them occupied.

At least now there are personal TV's and video games, when we moved over from the UK my sister and i were 5 and 7, movies were adult ones and there was no way we could see the screen... the hostess's i seem to rememebr were great and we got activity kits (do they still do that for kids on long hauls?)

Good luck, you will be fine, and if not dont worry the other people on the flight will get over it - and if they dont at least you wont have to see them again :P
    Have fun

Thanks guys I'll be on the look out for small cheap toys that can get lost or broken! That's a great idea to wrap them up.

I also thought about taking snacks so I don't have to keep asking the Stewardeses (sp?).

    Keep the ideas coming please!!!
