Sally - Are you sure it's over for good or could he just be feeling over welmed atm as many men go though this in the first year after there child is born they feel as though there life as they know it is over, and there mate dont help eaither.

Thanks girls. Unfortunatey i think it's well and truly over, he didn't just break up with me, he had planned when he was going to visit Brendan and of the things that are "ours" who gets what. He's planned too well for someone "overwhelmed". I came down to my mum's last week to give him "space", to think about things and i thought he'd realise how much he misses us and our company. But it did the opposite he realised he likes being on his own and he said he was happier. This is so hard, I love him and i was trying to make it work with him. my children aren't going to have their father around
As hard as this is maybe it better that you find out now so that you get used to been a single mum before you have two to deal with. as my brother who( I'm not proud of this) left his wife 4 days after she had given birth to there 2nd child, so this was soooooo much harder for my Xsil as she didnt know it was comming she thought that she was going to go home to happy familys when in fact my brother did want to be in the relationship for many many month he just thought it would be better to wait for her to have the child before he left as he didnt want her to mc and blame him. I have always said that I would prefure to be still pg if they are going to leave as that way you know what you are going to have to deal with iykwim.. Hang in there you will get over this hurt.
men really are hopeless when it come to communitication, shame he couldnt have told you this before, but you cant live in the what if's you just have to move on however hard that is.

BTW Sally - I'm so sorry to hear of what you're going through right now - especially after everything that you've been through with Brendan. You've already shown so much strength and courage - and I think that you are doing an amazing job in coping with it the way you are. There'll probably be times when you don't feel strong at all - try to be gentle on yourself and give yourself some time to heal.
Thanks girls I've just spent the last couple of hours at the hospital, they think I've got an infection. Little "jellybean" is still there, but it's not looking all that good. I wonder why everything always seems to happen at once??
