I'm sorry sweetie I am only new to clomid myself, I will begin next month. But I sure hope it's good news for you!! and thats indefinitely something I will watch out for myself!
I started using clomid this month (day 2-6 of cycle) and for the first wk I had shocking hot flushes, a little nausa, cramps and head aches. Then I came really good/normal for a wk or so and now for the past 5 days I have felt really sick to the point of having to bolt to the toilet to be sick half way through a conversation with my hubby LOL... And I have also noticed the veins on my boobs are starting to become really blue and pronounced. I have 5 days to AF is due. Is it possible I am pregnant or does Clomid have side effects that can come and go. The pharmasist said it is unlikely to be the clomid, but I wanted to talk to women who have actually been on it.. Thanx in advance for your help

With my 6 months on clomid I had the hot flushes etc in the first part of my cycle- but nothing after ovulation....
all the best...
Hi Rikii
I was on Chlomid for 7 months and the main side effects I would get were hot flushes, interrupted vision occasionally and nausea but those had usually subsided shortly after ovulation.
All the best! Hope it's one BFP for you!
I am also on my first cycle of Clomid and had the same question as you. I didn't get any side effects prior to ovulation, but since the day I ovulated I've had sore bb's (was just my nipples, now all over) and since about 5DPO I've been going to the toilet twice every night (annoying!). I know that these are both preg signs, but was worried that maybe the Clomid had caused it and didn't want to get my hopes up. I'm now 16DPO and have had 2 BFN but still no AF. So I'm still quietly hopeful, but don't really know what's going on. (I've booked an appt with my doc for Sat in case nothing happens before then.)
It's frustrating not knowing what to blame, isn't it?!![]()
Hi there,
I had EVERY side effect BUT the blurred vision which the GP & GYNO both told me is usually the most common side effect , ...was the only side effect I didn't experience.
My hot flushes would happen at given time without any real warning (very embarrasing... At least I got an idea of what menopause would be like, LOL).
I took the CLOMID for 5mths, even though I had no previous probs with my ovulation.
Anyway, I fell pregnant naturally about a year later at the age of 39 (had my 1st baby few mths after my 40th b'day) !!
SENDING U LOTS OF POSITIVE VIBES![]()
I was on clomid for 4 cycles (those hot flushes and Clomid headaches were the worst... and smiles, I got everything but the visual disturbances too!), and my Clomid symptoms subsided after ovulation, so I hope you are pregnant!
On a side note... are you on any LP support...? Sometimes that can create pregnancy symptoms.
Good luck for your TWW..... its a stressful 2 weeks huh! Do something to distract yourself![]()
i found that whilst i'm on the medications for assisted conception that my symptoms were incrredibly similar to those i had during my pregnancies. The hot flushes, tummy niggles(like ligament stretching),naseau, and faintness/lightheadedness. Only to find myself not pregnant. I hope this isnt the case for you and that you get your bfp result soon.
Hi
I've been on clomid for 12 months. My first go was on 1/2 tablet and it did nothing - I got really spacey, I was going to the toilet heaps and I couldn't control my emotions. (I had to take days off work) to top it off I didn't ovulate so after 3 month of this I went up to 1 tablet, this increased the symptoms 10 fold, but still no ovulation. After another 3 month i went to 2 tablets a day. Then finally (I think I got used to it), All my symptoms went away and I ovulated.
Ultimatly i'd say you just have to wait and see. If your really interested a blood test will be able to pick up HGC about 1-1 1/2 weeks after ovulation, and confirm either way. Also it is best to tell your gyno or doctor at your next visit, as I found that in one cycle I was really sick and just assumed it was the Clomid.
I feel for you, it a horrible feeling and very hard to share with people who havn't been through it.
Mel
I was on Clomid for 6 cycles, (day 2 - 6) I got hot flushes and headaches and dizziness but nothing after ovulation.
Fingers crossed you get BFP!
A big thankyou to all who have replyed to my post. I only have 3 days to go before I find out if I am pregnant or not. I am still feeling very sick and I also have veins appearing very blue on my boobs. All signs are pointing to being pregnant, but still, I don't want to get my hopes up to high. (If thats possible LOL)..![]()
I got really bad hot flashes etc after ovulation.. odd..
JUST WANTED TO SAY A BIG 'THANKYOU' TO ALL WHO REPLIED AND WISHED ME BEST OF LUCK. UNFORTUNATELY I AM NOT PREGGIES THIS MONTH, BUT HEY, THERES ALWAYS NEXT MONTH..(TRYING TO LOOK AT THE POSITIVE SIDE..).
Obviously Clomid made me feel sick right through to the end of the month.. Everyone reacts different to medication I suppose.
Baby Dust to everyone trying to concieve...![]()
