Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good day.
Just wanted to welcome all the new faces, and the old ones...you know I just realised that in one month's time, we will have been doing this AR stuff for 1 year.....and it still feels like yesterday when we went for our first appointment.
Alas, no progress since that time, and no better off in terms of knowledge...we are still the category "unexplained".
Well, better choof off now. Hope you're all fairing well. I ducked into LTTC and there was much sadness there, of fading hope etc. Try to stay hopeful all. There is always room for hope.
    Take care

Hi and welcome to Boo and Zap. I'm a relative newcomer to this thread too (migrating from the Clomid thread), so there are a few of us joining lately.

Janee and Linda, I'm thinking of you both and hoping that the current cycle works out for positively for each of you. Sending lots of sticky vibes and mental strength to get you through the ever trying 2WW.

I just took my first FSH injection tonight. I have to say I was a bit nervous, and the pen hovered in my hand for a minute or two until I was brave enough to actually inject it, but it really wasn't too bad! Yay for tiny tiny needles and whoever it was that invented them!

Best wishes to everyone else...I hope you are all travelling well.

Shan, YAY at AF finally showing up! I guess on the bright side you know where you're at and you can move on to the next cycle. Hopefully this one will be WELL under triple digits!

Boo, how did your appt go?

Allie, you're a braver girl than I! I am seriously petrified about the injections involved with IVF. DH is going to have to do it because I really don't think I could.

DH had his SA today. I have to wait until the 8th of August for my ultrasound and then back to my FS on 22nd August which was the earliest I could get in. I am excited that we have finally started the ball rolling.
Just a quick question for the girls who have been through IVF... How long can I expect to wait to start after seeing my FS before we start IVF? Is it just a matter of waiting for the beginning of my next cycle??

    Hi GIrls

Sorry I have been MIA. I started spotting on Sunday afternoon. I called my nurse on Monday and she said it's fairly common for this to happen. If anything changes then call back. I was wearing a panty liner which filled in about an hour and I called back and was booked in to go for a blood test on Tuesday morning. Then I started bleeding really heavily on Monday afternoon and I knew for sure it was all over. I started to get the flu on Saturday and was feeling like ****e anyway cos I was only taking panaodol on the off chance that I was pregnant. Got a BFN on the blood test which I was 99.9% sure that's what it was going to be. Been back the doc and got some antiobotics and I am finally starting to feel better. DH are still upset but life goes on and we are going to get a 2nd opinion on my endo to see whether I get it removed before we start a FET. I see my current specialist in September to discuss where we go from here.

Good luck to everyone else and I hope you all get BFP's soon

Jade sorry to read of your news

Megan - got my fingers crossed that your DH's SA comes out fine. Hope the 22nd August comes around super fast for you.

Allie - Reading about your injection made me cringe - i'm the biggest woss when it comes to needles, i think i would have to get DH to do it for me!

Janne - This year has gone by so fast hasn't it? Hope you receive some good news soon.

Shan - woohoo about AF turning up (sounds weird saying that) hope if she's late this time it's for a very good reason!

Well our appointment last night went ok. All our test results came back clear, they couldn't find any reason as to why we're having trouble - DH is now convinced more than ever that he has "super sperm" lol - just wish my body could do it's part of the deal. The Dr has booked me in for a lap on the 8th August to check for endo, blockages etc etc. If we still don't have any success after the lap then we'll have to start looking into IVF.

Jade, so sorry to read about your BFN. :hugs:

Boo, it's so frustrating this "unexplained infertility" stuff isn't it? That's our problem too. I keep thinking it would be better if there was something wrong. At least there may be some treatment to help. LOL @ your DH's Super Sperm!

Monash Ultrasound called me this afternoon and they have had a cancellation so I am having my ultrasound tomorrow at 4pm now. Saves me waiting another 10 days, so I'm happy about that. Unfortunately I can't get in to see my FS any earlier so still have a month wait to get the results.
Danni, I am seeing Dr Lawrence in Glen Waverley who also practices at Monash IVF. I have only seen him once so far, but I really liked him which makes me feel better about things.

Boo - unexplained is the worst! I hate when each IVF cycle we have we go back to the doctor and say "Why didnt it work this time?" and his reply is always "it should be working. We dont know why its not."....... Great answer! NOT! Heres hoping you get there before having to go down the awful IVF track...

Danni - me too, sweetheart.... me too.
