    Hi everyone...

Krikkit - there is a due date calculator on website IVF.ca Fertility Network - it counts it as you being 2 weeks pregnant on day of EPU

BTB - it's great that you now have a fresh plan of attack! GL with your stims. I hope that the 3 weeks passes quickly for you.

Miss K - sorry to hear about AF arriving - she should just get the hint that she is just not welcome!

Mellmell - you are amazing, it is hard enough when hubby is handy, let alone having to factor in unpredictable timetables. Feel free to vent as much as you like

AFM - had EPU today and it was not as bad as I had expected. The waiting around for 3 & 1/2 hrs was more nerve wracking. The nurses were fantastic. Feeling a bit sore and bloated and am holding off on the panadol until I feel I really need it. A hot wheat pack is doing the trick for now. Ended up with 12 eggs, so fingers crossed hoping that some survive the night. Had a giggle with DH in regard to what time the 'blind date' between eggs & swimmers will be - (or maybe its a bit more like speed dating?)

    Hi ladies,

Springvallee, good luck on Saturday, you must be so excited!!!

Mell, sorry to hear you're down in the dumps. Miracles happen every day so try to stay positive. It must be hard without hubbie there I think you're really strong to keep it up. Wish you best of luck whatever happens.

Miss K, how did you get on with FS today?

Persephone1, hope Sunday goes well for you.

    tantee, sending you lots of

Question: I've been reading all your different accounts of IVF treatment cycles and trying to figure out what's normal. I think the nurse at my clinic has put me on a cycle that's very long on syneral just to suit the doctors operating days. Does anyone know what's the normal wait between Syneral, AF and Puregon. I started syneral om 30th June, AF arrived on 7th/8th July (middle of night). I'm not due to go back til the 16th July to see if I start the puregon - the nurse said that this was to make sure that my hormones were definitely all suppressed but it seems really long compared to what I've read elsewhere.

Jasmin - I was on a down-reg cyle over Christmas last year, and the total cycle length, including the TWW at the end, was about 7 or 8 weeks. I just checked my diary, and it shows that I started the synarel twice daily on 2 January, and took my last dose on 26 January - so over three weeks of sniffing.

I don't think that it had anything to do with FS's schedule, rather it was how long it took for my body to go 'down' and then once you start injecting, the synarel stops you ovulating whilst your ovaries produce lots of follicles (hopefully). I wasn't on puregon, I was on gonal-f injections. I don't know if that would make a difference.

My DH needed the different drugs explained to him, and the way I described them are that if you imagine my ovaries as a tomato plant, the gonal-f injections are the fertiliser and make the 'tomatoes' grow. The synarel is the only thing that stops the 'tomatoes' from falling off the tree before they're ripe and ready. DH is a gardener, so that worked for him. It was also good to explain why taking synarel on time each day was so important - you stop taking it, and the tomatoes fall off the tree.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Steph,

That's a great way to put it. And I feel a lot better that it seems normal to have a long run on the syneral. Not enjoying it much but very hopeful so that's motivation to stay positive.

    Good luck again ,

Annie (I love gardening too my name on here is after the star jasmin I planted this year in my garden )

    Hi Miss K,

Sounds painful. Never heard of that; have you had it happen before? I hope you get AF and can go ahead.

Best of luck and thanks for your support. Steph provided a really good answer for me on my questions. Loving this site you're all so helpful and supportive. Not to mention strong and motivating. It's really encouraging

    Hi Ladies,
I haven't been on for awhile....seems like there is a bit of action going on! What have i missed....

    mellmell - hang in there!

Springvalley - Hope you get that BFP!

Loops12 - Good to hear that all is well with your protocol. Is mitf cycling with you?

AFM - Started Gonal F 187.5iu a few days ago, and go for a blood test tomorrow...hoping results come back good. I am presuming that i will probably be doing another BT early next week as well as ultrasound. I haven't been told when EPU and ET are....probably will know next week as long as all goes well.....I'm starting to get more and more excited everyday, but that just means a harder fall if it doesn't all go well.

    Good luck everyone!!!

    Hi Everyone,

Jasminstar - I'm not sure what my cylce was. I started the pill on 1 June, then the Synarel on 18 June, Gonal F on 26th June, had trigger on 7th July and EPU on 9/7. So just over 5 weeks + ET & TWW until BT on 29th July. Good luck with your cycle. It does sound longer than it actually feels. (I do agree that the spray bites it big time but found that any symptoms faded after a few days once my body got used to it)

Miss K - how are you feeling?

Seph - Great to hear your LH surge has arrived. Good luck with your transfer tomorrow - sending you LOADS of

BTB - Hope you are travelling well.

Spring Valley - when do you get your BT results?

Loops12 - How exciting to have your plan in hand. You may feel OK after ET. I had mine done today and the FS told me to carry on about my business as I normally would had I have DTD so you may be able to go to your function depending on how you're feeling.

Emerald Star - Good luck for your cycle.

Vira - It must be a summer cold if you're in London. Nothing like being stuck inside sick when you know everyone else is out in the sunshine. I hope you are on the mend.

Krikkit - how is your TWW going?

To anyone I've missed - with your cycles...

AFM - Ended up with 7 embies and was feeling good so went ahead with ET this morning. Now just playing the waiting game until 29 July and concentrating on keeping up with the water intake and crinone.

Thank you again BTB & seph for your feedback the other day. Totally invalueable....

    Hi Mitf,

When I started my synarel the nurse said to call them if I was more than 2 hours out - I think it depends on where you are up to in the cycle as far as how critical it is but I would suggest calling them if you can.

My AF was extremely light and almost a non-event (my norm is very heavy) which they did not seem to consider to be a problem.

    Hope this helps???

thanks heaps vera... I'm just lost for words atm. I'm just hoping now that everything will work out fine, i have a scan in 3 weeks time, just to check that everything is going as it should be..
Lol it's like you stop stressing about the wait to find out if you are preg or not, and then you start stressing about whether everything is going to be ok or not.. i guess by the time the 3 months period is over, i will relax some what.lol
Good luck to the rest of you out there. I hope everyone is doing well, and that magical things happen to each and everyone of you
