KellyD - it sounds as if you've only talked to your ivf clinic - if this is true, have you thought about talking to your FS to see whether you can come up with a situation that you are more comfortable with. All your concerns are legitimate and they should at least be willing to take your concerns into account.

    hi girls

just quickly poking my head in to say hi.

kelly - i hope your lining works out. hang in there, it is very frustrating, but i'm sure it will all be great for a ET this month.

AFM - grr, frustrated - very unsure where I'm at this month. I thought I ov'd, but now I'm not so sure as CM is increasing?? Today is CD25. I just really want to know where things are at, so I can start planning (mentally) for the FET next month...I really hate all this waiting.

    Hi KellyD,

That sounds really frustrating. I am surprised that they are unwilling to grow the day 3s into day 5. However from my memory you have exceptional embies, even the day 3 ones. I think it is pure misfortune that your last transfer was unsuccessful. Remember many people have a BFP with a day 3 transfer so I don't see any reason why you wouldn't. I only raised this other possibility because you have so many frosties. Don't stress out too much hun. I am sure it will turn out. I am for you for this Friday.

Possum, I feel so much for you. I actually spent the last hour reading through your pg journey in the other other subforum.. feeling very sad for you. Doesn't it sucks that although m/c in early pg happens to 30% of women... as LTTTC why does it have to happen to us! Sometimes I question why God punish us so.... doesn't the fact we have trouble getting gp in the first place is heart breaking enough? anyway I shouldn't blame god.. God, don't know why I am having a venting session here.... must be all that pent up emotions!

To everyone else, good luck. Lulu, am having my fingers cross for you.

    Thanks Kahlan

I suppose every clinic does different things. I will probably go for 2 x day 3's again to at least feel like I'm doing something. Hopefully we won't loss any in the thaw again this time to make sure I still have lots spare.

I think I'm grumpy today as I had to do all the running around this morning and then come into work and we are also probably putting an offer on a house tomorrow, so my head has been in a spin. Hopefully we will get the wonderful house (3/4 acre with lawn and landscaped garden) in a country town which is 3 doors away from the local primary school for our little one to have a big garden to play in and the school close by.

Mels I am with you. I am trying naturally this month, and I cannot seem to work out if I ovulated. My temp just hasn't risen, but all the other signs pointed to O, so who knows? I would normally O day 12 to 14, but it is day 20 and no sign.

KellyD - I'm sorry you're having a rough time It can be so frustrating and you feel so out of control sometimes. Hoep things look up for you soon.

Thanks Buliej for that info - they never said anything to me about it being hard on the body or not as successful, but I'm willing to take the chance anyway - as you say, having some control helps!

Good luck for you scan JBM

    Bub4me = any news hun?

Hey to Possums, Kahlan, Mrs M, Kaydee, Lilmiss, Wishingbaby, Smithy - sorry if i have lost anyone.

afm: this time it doesn't seem real, yes another FET and i am not feeling very positive, i think i am used to seeing the BFN ?!

i am feelin a bit on edge at the moment. i've got a head and neck massage booked for friday along with a full facial, it's couples massage and dh is having full body treatment.
i am looking forward to it very much and i should be nice and relaxed about it.

i don't want to get excited this time as i just can't handle all these bad feelings.

AFM to update you all I got a message on answering mechine from FS on friday saying I had 4 eggs and to do Pregnyl 5000 trigger that night, the problem was I didn't have any of that med at home and no way of getting a hold of it till monday at the earlist, anyway tried ringing FS back straight away kept getting answering mechine, stress and worried all weekend. Monday tried ringing FS all day and again kept getting answering mechine same story today, not sure what is going on, was wondering if anyone on this thread was seeing DR Nicole Sides in Canberra and was having the same difficulties getting in contact with her, it is really very frustrating.

Hope you all are having goodluck with what every stage you are up to.

Aaargh my post just disappeared into cyberspace ...

21 - I awoke from my EPU to discover they had done ICSI due to DH's sample not "prepping up too well". We weren't expecting that because I'm the one with the dodgy hormone system. Anyhow, it was very successful ... lots of frosties ... and now I'm pregnant!! Don't be scared of ICSI - it has a high success rate. For us, after 2 years of TTC and working our way through the various infertility trts with no success - one cycle of IVF/ICSI did the trick - it seemed so easy - great for you if you can fasttrack straight to that step.
Mels, KellyD - good luck for your FETs on Monday
Babytruj - good luck with your HSG
Sunflowers - good luck for ET today ... into the tww
Wishbaby - well done for being so calm and positive about this cycle ... hope AF arrives soon and your journey continues quickly (and successfully) ...
JBM - countdown to FET ...
Bub4me - I was a bit emotional after my EPU ... I found the ending of Barbie in Princess & the Pauper particularly touching and was thinking that I seriously needed to get-a-grip on reality!! There is so much hope and expectation riding on it all so it's perfectly understandable. Sending you a big and lots of for today.

Ttc#1and 21 - i can understand your frustration on wanting to get started and it's such a shame that your mother is not supportive. To answer your previous question iui and icsi are very different icsi is where they take your eggs and inject them with a single hand picked sperm in the lab then put the embyo back. Iui is where they take a semen sample from your partner and they wash it and then inject it straight into your fallopian tube and allow them to fertilise your egg fairly naturally. Due to your dh's results you would pretty much have to go with icsi. As for your doctor not wanting to refer you yet... Is your dr a fertility specialist or a gp. If they're a gp go somewhere else with your test results and demand a referal to a monash ivf specialist. It's your rite to begin when you want. I hope this has helped. If you are not doing anything tomorrow there is a ttc meet up at southbank and i have met a couple of the ladies before and i think you would find coming along very inspiring and informative. I live at mudgeeraba and have offered anyone from the coast a lift so if you wanted to go pm me and i can take you up. Good luck sweetie.. It's an interesting journey.

Had my scan yesterday and I have about 18 follies, about 18mm. I had the trigger injection last night and will go in for EPU tomorrow morning. Felt awful and uncomfortable yesterday and last night, like they were going to pop - so bloated and huge. Not sure if that's from him poking around with the probe, or just the stage I'm at. This morning I don't feel as bad, which kind of worries me... I hope I didn't O before EPU. Do you think that could have happened? I'm border-line OHHS, so if I don't recover from EPU as FS would like then they won't transfer on Monday and will freeze everything till next cycle. that everything's ok.

    Hi girls

    I'm finally joining this thread!

I go in tomorrow for EPU!! I had 14 eggs last Saturday on my last scan ... I'm feeling really GOOD, i'm also very proud of myself, i did my trigger shot myself last night, 1st time ever, the gonal-f pen is easy, so the trigger was a big deal and I just did it .. right on 9.15pm.
ET is friday, a 2 day transfer and if all fertilise okay, we are doing ICSI, then 2 will be going back in .. I'm starting to get excited and it works 1st go , if not, we can go back and do FET. I'm going to QFG , anybody else going to QFG?
Sorry for no personals, I want to get to know you all and GOODLUCK!
