Myturn I am so sorry to hear your parents might be splitting up. Thinking of you and I am here to chat whenever you need.
My personal thoughts on 2012 is that it has not been a good year and I am looking forward to 2013 being better for all of us.
2012 has sucked all sorts of things that I can't write here... It has taken so much from us, so many good people...
Anyway, saw the FS this morning and he said he's expecting I will O today, not yesterday (which is good because I agree with that based on OPK and temps). The thing that concerns me is that he's still talking about transfer on Monday, which would be 3dpo, but the embryo was frozen on day 3, so I would have thought it would be thawed at 3dpo and transferred 4dpo?? Has anyone had a day 3 embryo thawed at 2dpo before? They do always thaw the day before, right? I'm going to ask about it when I phone for the b/w results this afternoon.
Interestingly, I decided to bring up my OPK results with him and he was actually interested in what I said. I had a +OPK on Wednesday night and he was surprised by that. He thought it was too early and wouldn't have expected me to get one before yesterday. I'm kicking myself now for not doing another OPK last night (just did 2pm, which was dark, but slightly lighter than Wednesday night). He said that if we were just doing TI and using the OPKs for timing we'd be getting the timing wrong. Of course, too early is better than too late, but still...
Based on the b/w he's expecting me to O tonight, but I'd have guessed this morning based on the OPKs. Will be very interested to hear today's b/w results this afternoon!

juniper - my understanding is that they thaw the embryo on the day of transfer ie day 3 embryo - thawed on day 3, or 3dpo.. that's been my experience. never had a day 4 transfer either, I've had day 2, 3 & 5. clinics do seem to vary a lot in their procedures though - can you call and ask?
Mine are always thawed first thing in the morning and put in around lunch time. Makes me nervous as I fly over and I am on the plane when they thaw. Bit late to turn around Lucky I have always had something to transfer.
I was told on Wednesday that transfer would likely be around 7am because of the public holiday. Normally it would be around 11am...

Transfer is indeed 7am Monday and they will indeed be thawing the embryo Sunday morning. Today's b/w confirmed O and places it at late last night or early this morning, so they'll be thawing our day 3 embie as little as 50-ish hours after O. Guess I should hope I O'd last night rather than this morning? I guess our embryos were usually behind, so maybe this will work out best?
Lol, I find it funny that the FS said this morning that he thought I'd O tonight based on Wednesday b/w and I said I thought last night/this morning based on the OPKs and today's b/w showed I was right...

But now have to decide what to do, the nurse has made me feel a bit guilty about changing clinics and did "offer" the fact that they can do some things to help my egg quality (DHEA & HGH) a bit too little too late. I am going to stick with my guns and change clinics - the question is do I debrief with my current FS? or call it a day and just move on?
I'm sorry Krikkit, hope the new clinic is more helpful & u get ur BFP very soon. As for debriefing your current FS, personally I wouldn't bother. You need to just look after yourself & if you're happy with you decision (choosing a new clinic).

confirmed - sorta knew it was the case. But now have to decide what to do, the nurse has made me feel a bit guilty about changing clinics and did "offer" the fact that they can do some things to help my egg quality (DHEA & HGH) a bit too little too late. I am going to stick with my guns and change clinics - the question is do I debrief with my current FS? or call it a day and just move on?
