    sorry, krikkit. xx
i didn't debrief when changing, but I was kind of annoyed when I left my first one. unless you have any questions for them, I guess you don't need to? maybe see how you feel over next 1-2 weeks.

Myturn, I'm sorry to hear about your folks. I hope this doesn't add too much stress to you.

Krikkit, for bfn. Hopefully you have more success with the new clinic.

Juniper, lol. Love it that you were right. Good luck for next few days. Will b thinking of you.

AFM, had BT and scan this morning. Nurse said it was actually too early to scan for follies and didn't want me to be disappointed even though it had been scheduled. I said, I would stress more not knowing anything. She said its better fir me to be relaxed so whatever i wanted. I really like her, and she is awesome at taking blood - i barely feel anything. Bt showed hormones at good level, scan showed i have ten follies between 11.2 and 15.6. On track for epu on Thursday. Bt and scan again on Monday am but reduced gonal-f this weekend. I'm trying not to be too hopeful just in case something causes the cycle to get cancelled, but it's hard.

For those who don't know me, Hi, my name is MC, I joined a few years ago whils on my very loooong journey to have a baby. Alexis born in Jan 11.
What a journey that was!! Met a great bunch of girls and made some lifelong friends xxx
Well I find myself back again.
Thought I could do it the second time round on my own, but nope, I need to surround myself with people who understand what it's like to go through the up's and too many lows of IVF.
I've stalked for a while, a couple of months actually *red face
I thought just reading what everyone else was doing would give me some sort of reassurance but I'd really like to join in if that's cool.
Anyways, I'm on day 28cycle of an enforced break from Stim Cycle last month, I had a Lipidol Tubal Flush in the first half of this cycle, and two MRI scans this second half and a truck load of bloods testing immunology stuff I don't understand.
There is no reason for the extra testing other than my FS knows I will haunt him in his sleep if I'm forced to have a month off and not do any further investigating why I'm having so many failed cycles.
Hoping to do a FET next cycle but have no idea what FS had planned for me as yet.
I thought it would be easier going through this already being lucky enough to have Alexis in my life, but I definitely underestimated the feeling of the dreaded BFN.....

I recognise a few in here, It's gut wrenching, but nice to know some familiar names xxx

Juniper I hope your snow baby thaws great tomorrow and good luck for your transfer on Monday

Krikkit I'm sorry to read you got a BFN xxx

Krikkit, do whatever feels right. If you don't want to face your old FS again, then don't go. If you want to hear his take on the last cycle, then one more appt won't hurt.

miloro, good to hear everything looks on track. FX it continues to go well for you.

N2L, GL catching the egg! FX for a lovely surprise in 2 weeks' time!

MC, hi and welcome! Alexis is 1 day older than our DD!! I found I was coping just fine with the BFNs last year because we didn't expect anything to happen, but then we got a BFP and had the d&c and since then I'm right back where I was at the end of TTC#1 because I keep thinking we "should" be able to get a BFP but it's not happening. I have spent a total of almost 5 years TTC now and, even though it has only been 15 months TTC#2, I'm feeling all 50-odd TTC cycles weighing down on me... It's going to be weird taking DD with us to the day theatres on Monday (if we get to transfer) and knowing that is where she came from.
Let us know what (if anything) the testing shows up. It's hard to know whether to hope it finds nothing (ie that there's nothing wrong) or to hope it finds something that is easily treatable (ie an explanation for the BFNs that can be readily overcome).

Afm, just waiting nervously. Need to go and do a practice bake for a cake, but procrastinating... I'm not much good at cakes but wanted to take one to our friends' house tomorrow. If this one takes too long it might become the real cake, no matter how it turns out...

Just a quick one, am back from holidays... Will be waiting for AF (not due for a little while) and then start a natural FET.
Today met up with my DF's brother and sister in law and they told us they're expecting their first, they never wanted children, but this one seems planned and I think possibly first time lucky... Argh, I was sure it was our turn next... Oh well, I'll need a bit of getting used to it and have been shedding some tears. Am looking forward to becoming an auntie here in Australia, though.
Sorry, will do persies next time, am too tired as we arrived this morning at 4am after a gruelling 29 hours at airports and on planes...
    Hugs for everyone!

me4ever - it sucks when everyone around you is UTD and can sneeze and get pregnant. I think we all have moments where everywhere we look, see and hear there is someone pregnant

murraycod - yes, its strange but comforting to see the same names around hey! I am here for my second too, and BFN never get easier and for some reason you think it will work quicker/faster etc the second time round - but it doesn't seem to happen that way

miloro - I am cross fingers nothing gets cancelled.

AFM - nothing much happening waiting for AF, waiting for my appointment at the new clinic... always waiting. Hubby agreed we should debrief with the new clinic, save us some money and time. Nothing will change the outcome of what happened and we aren't going back through them so nothing can be rectified. We are oddly both happier with a change, it feels like we have made the right decision.

    Hi Girls

I am tucked away in our little tin caravan and the internet is proving to be quite the issue, so hoping I can actually post this

Krit - so sorry for BFN. I will be stalking your new fs and hope that he has some awesome new things to try and get you your bfp ASAP!!!

N2L - Good luck catching the eggie. I too had given up of conceiving naturally but we did, it just arrested at day 3. At least I know I am conceiving naturally and god willing the right egg will show up asap.

Murraycod - A BIG MASSIVE WELCOME... about time you jumped in here xxx

Miloro - Good luck for your scan and your EPU on Thursday. We will all be here for you.

Juniper - FX for a great transfer tomorrow. I find it interesting that they thaw them the day before. At least you will know if they are continuing to grow and divide. Its one thing to say they survived the thaw but do they keep going???

Miss B - I hope that all the sickness in your house has finally left the building. I cant believe how sick you have all been

    Hi to everyone else.

AFM - My Lab Director called me Friday and asked if I had any questions re the transfer/EPU day lol. I said no, its pretty much what it is. He said it obviously fertilised and grew to day 3 and then he thinks it arrested. I guess a lot of embies arrest between day 3 and day 5 thats why they have a high drop off rate. I asked about PGD and he said they dont do it, but are looking into it and it should be available in 6-9 months. Pfft...no good for me. And I dont know how I feel about them not having any experience with it anyway. He said he was training now and would then have to train his staff. Hmmmm.... he also said they would need a minimum of 3 day 3 embies. Which I usually have more of so that would be ok, but I dont have 6 to 9 months up my sleeve.

I am too scared to POAS. I dont have any with me so I cant anyway. Ugh I hate this part of the TWW. Its actually gone pretty quick and I think know I have to do another stim is putting me off of finding out. The clinic said I should get AF tomorrow, but I know the prog pessaries will keep her away. BT is Friday so will see how I go. I have to do something before Thursday as that the only day my FS works out of the clinic and need him to sign off on it.

I hope your all enjoying the long weekend xxx

FX for you Vic. I'd share your concerns about their lack of experience too. There's only 1 way to get experience, but, when we have so little to work with, there are better guinea pigs available.

Afm, woke early this morning and couldn't sleep. Got up and baked a cake for our afternoon tea with friends today. I suck at cakes and ran out of time to do a practice run yesterday, so it may be a disaster, but at least it kept me busy. Now 11am and have not yet had the dreaded "sorry, it didn't make it" phone call, so keep telling myself that "no news is good news", over and over... Cake is on the bench and I'm hoping it's cooked through. I always have trouble with the skewer coming out clean, even when it's not cooked. I don't know how I manage to do such a simple thing wrong, but somehow I do... I once had a cake that was still wobbling like jelly, so obviously not done and the skewer came out clean! Wtf?! Today's experiment is an upside-down apple cake. I had apples I wanted to use up... Smells awesome!

Juniper - Cake sounds delicious... I'd love to try some Can you send some my way???
Krikkit - Thanks for the hugs. I'm sorry to hear about your BFN Hopefully the new clinic will help you fall pregnant asap... I didn't debrief my old clinic, I just couldn't stand the dr anymore and didn't want to see him again. That the nurse made you feel bad about changing clinic is ridiculous, it's your money your spending and your body and you know what's best for it. Big hugs for you as well. Where you considering a lap? I had mine done before starting IVF, as I read about some people spending lots of money on IVF before having a lap and then finding out they couldn't fall pregnant because of endo or whatever. They found moderate endo with me and have had that removed. Have had 1 BFP since, but that ended in m/c. I'm glad I did it before starting with IVF, as I may not have fallen pregnant without the lap.
MC - welcome to the club! Fingers crossed that you get your BFP soon!
Vic - Am keeping my fingers, knees and toes crossed for you to have your BFP by the end of the week.
    Hi to everyone else!

AFM - day 10 today, and getting anxious to start again, I don't really want to wait till my next AF to start our natural FET. I was wondering if clinics will let you have one if you didn't do a day 2 blood test (as I was overseas still)? Anyone any experience with it???
Didn't sleep well during the night - lots of thinking about pregnant sister-in-law and feel so angry and upset. I think I would have felt better if I had known they were wanting to conceive, it came totally out of the blue for us. I'm happy to become an auntie again, but just shocked at the moment...

me4ever, I think it will depend on your Dr's preference. I had to call CD1 to let them know I was doing the cycle, but didn't have to go in for any b/w until CD13. But I know not all Drs do thinks the same way as mine.

No call for us today, so assuming that means the embie thawed successfully. Now hoping it will make it through he night and be suitable for transfer tomorrow morning.

ps. The cake was a success. Still have half a cake left though...

W&D, sorry to hear you're having a bad time atm. I hope it's just a temporary, hormonal thing. What meds did you do this cycle? Does your clinic offer a counselling service? If so, maybe it would be worth talking to someone in case there's something more going on? I learned the hard way that early intervention is much better. The deeper, darker the hole, the harder it is to get out of... FX your IUI brings you a very good reason to be happy.

Juniper, glad to hear the cake went well and good luck for tomorrow, I have all fingers and toes crossed for you.

Me4ever, it can be hard when people around us get UTD and even have the kid while we still are trying. I hope you feel better soon. As for the natural fet, no idea but hopefully you can make something work for you.

Vic, stay strong, don't poas just enjoy your weekend.

Today is my fifth wedding anniversary, DH forgot to get the night off work, so I'm on my own. I told him he can send me off for a spa day the day before (hopefully) transfer. He asked me if I wanted him to come for the BT and scan tomorrow but coz he finishes work around 2am I'm letting him sleep instead, provided we do a nice lunch together tomorrow.

    Enjoy your long weekend ladies.
