9 eggs. Thrilled. She said few were hiding knew the girl was slack.

They have recommended assisted hatching so stoked. One assisted, one normal transferred on friday. Still in recovery.

Will be back on later xxx

    Great news Vic...

Just a question although I could just be paranoid as this is all new to me... I have been on synarel for a week now and have no side effects other than a few headaches. Just worrying that it's not working because I don't have the hot flushes, mood swings etc. Does it take a while before those side effects start??

faye - i only had a few headaches while on syranel too, and my cycle worked. not everyone will get all the side effects listed, so try not to worry. easier said than done, i know.

    Vic, fabulous news!! So thrilled!!

Faye, sounds like you got lucky. I'm sure it's fine. I had terrible s/e the first time I took it but last time was similar to what you're getting (ie barely notice taking it).

Curtysgirl, hi and welcome! GL with your clomid cycle!

Afm, I saw the FS today and he failed to surprise me. As expected, he said he thought we should do the same as last time (long protocol, high dose FSH). Every time I asked about something else, he kept saying "this protocol gave you a baby last time", "you don't want more eggs/embryos, you want a baby", "you didn't need better quality last time to get a baby", etc, etc, etc. Ugh. I don't know what to do. I don't know whether to trust him or to get a second opinion. He dismissed all supplements (went into a spiel about how his success rates are 5% higher than his colleague that prescribes a lot of supplements) except for one antioxidant that he has a few of his patients taking as a trial (the name eludes me at the moment). I can't help but wonder how many of his patients are (like me) taking supplements without his knowledge? He dismissed other protocols (unless we tried the long one and got less than 3 follicles, in which case he'd cancel and try something different). He dismissed adding hcg to the stims (but at least gave me a reasonable reason for that one).

He dismissed everything except for losing 30kg (which, of course, is not really an option when my AMH is so low because it would take too long). Although, funnily enough, I lost 20kg while I was pg with DD, so all I need to do is get pg and I can lose a lot of that 30kg in just 8.5 months!! And then I'd just have to lose 10kg more to get pg!!

I'm no good at "last chance" scenarios. There are too many variables, too many unknowns. I don't know what to do...

Jo - I read your post the other day about the needles for your peuregon pen. I was going through my medicine cabinet today and found 6 packs of the pen needles. If you want some more I'm happy to post these to you. I got them during my cycle in April x

Amy_jellybean: that would be just amazing!!! Thank you so very much!!! xx

    Vic: that's great news!!! Congrats!!!

Juniper: although I'm new at this, I say go with your heart... DH and I had tried chloride before and after it didn't work and my FS at the time kept telling me to just relax and upping my dose we decided it was enough for then... That went on for 6 months til I couldn't take it anymore... That was when I knew I wanted to see someone else, and now I am more mature, completely ready and have a fS who is so positive and just gets what I'm saying! Working as a nurse, I was taught to follow my gut instinct and it hasn't proven me wrong yet, maybe you should follow yours...

Curtysgirl: welcome and good luck with your cycle!!!

AFM, I'm still waiting for AF to arrive... I have NEVER been so eager!!! Lol. One of my closest friends had a baby today, and seeing her pic has just made me want this so much more!!! FX it works!!!
