Trueblue, I take it the dye test you talked about where you suffered excruciating pain was the HSG? My FS has prescribed Lipiodol (poppy seed oil derivative) as the contrast medium. Do you remember whether they used this for yours? Can I ask how long the procedure took? Did they give you a local anaesthetic? My FS has told me to take two naprogesics about two to three hours beforehand and two whiskey shots about an hour beforehand. Can I ask what pain medication you took, and how long before the procedure you took it? You can probably tell I'm just a wee bit scared about this procedure!
