Juniper76, and Brunette, thanks for your support. I did have Rubella tested for in Jan as part of my routine tests and was told that all my results for everything was fine. Then when I had my scan ready to check my body was responding to synarel and that I was ready to start on Gonal, they suddenly advised me that the results they had known for over 6 weeks showed I had low immunity to Rubella so it was recommended I get re-immunised and wait 28 days before starting on Gonal. I'm ****ed because the clinic had these results since mid Feb but didn't tell me until my scan on the 30th of March.
Apparently the doctor highlighted the results on my file but didn't follow up with me and everytime I rang and spoke to any of the nurses they apparently assumed I knew these results. So when I asked "are my test results back and is everything okay?" they answered "yes everything is fine"!!!
I started on Synarel on the 15th March, so had my first period after that on the 21st of March. Thats why I was so confused by this bleeding... because it is only day 19 of this cycle (and my previous ovulatory cycles have tended to be around 35 days so really this is only around the time I should have been ovulating on a normal cycle - not bleeding). Anyway hopefully what the clinic said is right and it is just a response to the fact that I did have one injection of Gonal on the 30th of March and then stopped.
Hopefully the next 20 days of waiting will run smoothly and by the time I have my next scan my body will be on track for me to start the Gonal properly.

trubabe: whats wrong with those lovely gown photos being on FB, LOL. i am sure she appreciated your visit. good luck to you
lairdoz: have some great b'day parties. hope all goes well and you have a good break. x
brunette: ouch for the bruising, are you pinching your skin and holding a little bit of a fat roll, presuming you have one, LOL. as this helps to not bruise as much? might help if your not doing it already. good luck for the rest of this cycle and pray for a BFP.
juniper: hi, i hope all is going well with you.
mumwannabe: i love the visualisation thing, prob a good idea. my acu lady said i shouldn't think of it as a live embryo being put in as this makes the BFN worse. dunno what i am supposed to think instead. good luck to you and hope for a BFP. x
renee: sounds good. what a long cycle that is, wow. hope the time away does you good, and i'm all for the BFP with no IVF, but it is not possible with us. darn it. LOL. good luck to you though.
kmm: i am sure we all do crazy things to help our little ones to snuggle in and stay in there, i have heard about lucky charms even being used, whatever works for you. good luck to you.
dreamrise: sounds like you need a big hug. hope all goes well and you'll be doing it in no time at all. try to be positive, although it is hard to do it sometimes. x x
loops : tassie fixes a lot of probs. maybe a holiday is just what you need. sending you a really big hug. x o
anyone else who i have forgotten: sorry for that. good luck whatever part of a cycle or FET or TWW your on.
AFM: well i have now picked up the synarel and start sniffing tomorrow, woohoo.
DH and i have a heap of paperwork to fill out and gotta get BT done soon as well. just to make sure we're all still good.
i have a scan booked in on the 19th to make sure that i am not going to ovulate, then i suppose i'll start jabbing. i love that part. NOT. but was ok with giving myself injections.
DH still wants to wait a bit more but the thing is there will always be something getting in the way. and it'll never happen if we wait for the right time to do it.
Hi ladies sorry I've been MIA lately but I have been sort of reading what is going on. It all sounds really good and quite a few of you are heading towards your TWW or in the TWW. I'm sure some great news is just around the corner and the ball of BFP's will start to roll really soon.
Loops so happy to hear that you are finally on the mend after everything you have been through. Enjoy your holiday let your body heal and I'm sure that you'll get there pretty soon.
Marcellus that your criptic messages mean what I think they do
Brunette good luck honey hopefully your little ones' are burrowing in for the next 9 months
To everyone else
AFM well after a full blood work up by my immunologist I can finally get back on track. Have an appoitment with FS next Friday to work out my medications and my next FET will be mid May. Things have worked out great and I will probably only need to add lose dose asprin to my cycle to reduce the chances of clotting. TMI as I'm currently cycling at the moment DH and I have decided to give it a natural try so this morning I took some lose dose asprin and we will see what happens. So i guess nect week I'll be on a natural TWW.
dreamrise, hope you are ok. big hugs to you. good luck you will be on the right track soon.
loops, enjoy your time out. i hope you holiday gives you a well earned rest.
JBM, good luck sniffing & good luck for your scan. my blood test is also on the 19th, i think brunette's is too (?) it will be a big day. and already it seems to be taking so long to arrive.
CK77: not long til your BT. i never made it that far, hope this is a good sign for you. i'd be going out of my mind by now, but hey i am a bit anxious about it all. good luck. pray for a BFP
kmm: the 19th is a lucky day and they say good things happen in 3's. good luck to you
AFM: nothing new to report. i started synarel today, i don't get the headaches thank goodness.
Are there any Brisbane ladies who have previously done a HRT cycle and needed to purchase ethinyl oestradiol tablets? I have run out and tried to fill a script for some more today from a chemist, but apparently these tablets need to be purchased from a compounding pharmacy which either make them on the spot or it takes the chemists a couple of days to make them!
Of course I need them on a weekend! I had no idea as I've never had these tablets before.
I've tried Wickham Compounding Pharmacy, the Mill Pharmacy on ground level of QFG, the Mater, PA, Wesley, and Greenslopes pharmacy hospitals and a couple of day and nights in Brisbane.
Does anyone know where I can get these tablets on a Sunday? Please help!
Brunette ~ Thanks hun, will do. I hope you got your tablets. Did you ring your clinics' after hours emergency number. My clinic was really good when I ran out of Synarel although it wasnt a weekend.
JBM ~ thanks for the hug xo. So happy you're on the way. GL with your sniffing and jabbing.
Terry ~ Thanks I will! GL on your natural TWW and all the best for May if not. FX
Kmm ~ Thanks hun, I can't waitfor our hol and a break. Hope you're doin well in TWW, FX for a BFP!
CK ~ FX for Wed!
Lori ~ GL with it all! FX for you
Trueblue ~ Hi chicky. Probably best you order as some chemists have it and others will have to get it in. I think it should only take 1 or 2 days to come in. I ran out of Synarel mid cycle if you remember and my nurse said Chemist Warehouse in Trar stock it so I rang them 1st thing and got the last bottle. So perhaps try there.
Im excited you're on your way, GL hun xoxo
Hi to anyone ive missed and all the best everyone!
xo
um got a quick q guys I'd call my nurse but being a sunday ... I am on the pill to get in sync and so skipped a period but just went to the loo TMI alert: there is what looks like the brown very startings of my normal period I am half way through the second packet of the pill so shouldn't be anywhere near getting my period and am meant to be still taking it till the 20th. I have been taking it every day at the same time. will this bugger everything up if I get my period? help am starting to freak out a little
Trueblue, I sometimes had spotting like that when I was on the pill before we were TTC. Sometimes I could go 3 months between the red pills and sometimes I'd get that spotting and have to take the red pills earlier (to get it to stop). I would expect you wouldn't get a full AF until you stop the pills, but your best bet is to ring the clinic in the morning and let them know what's happening. Hopefully it is nothing more than an inconvenience.
Hey Trueblue ~ Hope you've rung the clinic and they have eased your mind. As Juniper said and also my friends a lot of people get spotting and everyone is different too. So I wouldnt be too worried.
Yes the Synarel was cheaper from chemist warehouse. Can't remember how much because Sam picked it up for me but I remember him saying it was cheaper.
Thinking of you hun and FX all goes to plan, GL xoxo
thanks guys finally got my info pack today and in it one of the q's covered was spotting whil;e on the pill during down reg and said it was a perfectly normal thing so now am over my panic attack.
She snuck in another pin cushion app lol on the 27th the day before the injections. But will be on synarel morning and night then the injections are the puregon and then hcg is the pregnyl. plus I think they have me down for two post ai injections for the pregnyl as well I think. SO will be off to pick up the nasal spray tommorrow I think.
Thanks again guys and sorry bout my panic attack
Loops 12: I'm glad you got your HCG of 3 - its a small conciliation not having to have a D&C as you still lost a precious lil embie, but you've gotta look at any positive, no matter how small in this game!
I got AF, Day 30, half way through my TWW, which i didnt really find as a surprise, I don't really even feel upset, just the normal constant disappointment and anger now - rather than emotional and upset.
I dont like what this life of IVF is turing me into - I think I'm going a bit numb to all of it - not fully feeling the highs and the lows? Maybe its a coping mechanism - I dont know???
Has anyone discussed with their partner a limit to all of this, all of the attempts and surgerys and drugs and heart break? I think about it more and more often with each failed cycle, or new diagnoses...
What a depressing lil post, sorry guys
Kmm & Brunette: I hope your lil embies are doing well and are tunnelling in!!!
MWB - DH and I decided from the word go that we would try four stim cycles and if that didn't work, it obviously wasnt meant to be. However, if attempt #4 comes and goes, may be a different story.
Sorry been MIA, been crazy busy, sick and blah. Had absolute killer migraines to the point where I couldn't get out of bed without wanting to spew - nice - topped off with the fact that our 16 year old niece has just had a baby at the weekend. Man this sucks. On a brighter note, our little emby comes out of the cold on Friday morning, FX it survives for ET that afternoon. Please make it little emby . Sorry that I go away for ages and come back with a me post but I'll be better next time, honest!!!
Mellissa: fx so tight for you hope the little snow bub is a winter olympian
MWB" Hugs chick the whole process certainly takes it's toll on you maybe you need to take a little holiday with dh
sorry I have been missing. I have been super busy (am a glutton for punishment with not only a busy job and doing IVF, but studying and trying to do renovations). I finally got over the OHSS and then bam AF arrives, full on straight away. I normally get a bit of spotting the day before with a few cramps letting me know its on its way, but nope this time it was lots of cramping, lots of blood (sorry TMI) and lots of back pain. I was so over it. I rang the clinic and the nurse said that it was so heavy because my lining was so thick during the stim cycle and because my oestrogen went so high due to the OHSS then went back down low. Whatever it was it was so awful. But DH should be happy as she is now gone and he'll finally get a bit of BDing (can you call it BDing when you're on the pill and no babies will be made???). He's been a bit neglected as I've had AF here, was sleeping upright on the couch because of the OHSS before then and before that couldn't BD due to taking the puregon.
Anyways, sorry to be all about me when I have been missing so long. I have been popping in briefly to keep up to date and hope you are all going well in your cycles, wherever you are at. I will have my fingers crossed. We need some BFPs in here girls!
Oh and I have an appy with the nurses at my clinic next week to discuss my frozen cycle, so I will be able to find out if we have enough time to do a cycle before we go away in July.
MWB don't be to hard on yourself for feeling a bit numb to the whole thing. I think at times we all go through that maybe its a way of us coping. I know that towards the end of last year I was feeling pretty much the same and now that I've had a break and life has been normal I feel more equipped to cope and go on. So maybe think of taking some time off? I don't think we truly realise what a battering our body takes with all the injections etc.
MelissaI that it all goes well for you on Friday I'm sure it will. As to how much is enough I suppose no-one can really tell you that. Hopefully you wont have to get to that stage.
Hi to evryone else hope you are all doing well and I agree with the others we definatly need to start seeing some BFP's in here
