    Newbie to IVF process

    Hi ladies,

I am a newbie to this site! I've just started the IVF process - my DH had the chop about 10 years ago (right after he seperated from his first wife and just before we met), so this is our only way to conceive. I started the nasal spray last monday and the only side afffects I'm getting are really sore breasts and a bit of tireness (when exercising)... I haven't had any moodiness (thank goodness!! ).

It's nice to read all your posts because I don't know anyone else going through this and although I talk to my DH, its good to also talk (or write!!) to others that are actually experiencing it too!!

Emerald Star - woohoo for being PUPO. Hoping the 2ww treats you kindly and isn’ too hideous
Renee - welcome to you. We are in a similar position to you with morph problems coming as a huge shock. We honestly thought it would be something minor to do with me, never in a million years did we dream that the only option given to us would be ivf. We weren’t even given the option of iui. Did you do ivf with icsi? Sorry that your first cycle wasn’ successful, hope this is the one for you - good luck
Little gem - yay for AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lairdos - I hear you on needing something to look forward to to help get you through. We had planned on going away for a little break once this cycle is a done deal but we haven’t been able to get time off work which sucks a bit. So now all I have to look forward to is the prospect of my first cup of coffee in months. I completely cut out caffeine and alcohol in December and the no coffee has just about killed me!! Have you got any ideas on where you want to go?
Loops - good luck for tomorrow hun, hoping they get lots and lots of eggies. I’ll be feeling your pain!!!!!
Miss K - really hope this cycle doesn’t end in OHSS for you this time and that you get some lovely follies growing
Murray cod - LOVE your avy!!
Mum-2-be - welcome and best of luck for this cycle
Me - EPU tomorrow, I’m scared,. I think today is the sookiest day I’ve had throughout this whole process. You’d think I’d be jumping up and down with excitement but I just bawl instead. Probably cos for us ttc has been so crappy I have this little voice wondering why this will be any better. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to see how we go, just feeling a bit sorry for myself today. My tummy is huge, I look preggers already!!!!!

Melissal hi, I believe that we shouldn't have been offered IUI either it wasn't until i said after the 2nd try i didn't think it was worth it that they agreed! Yes we used ICSI for the first and will again. I can relate with the tummy i am 5 days into injections and today i have really noticed the swelling. GL for tomorrow hope everything goes well for you

AFM - As you all know i am going insane..i have been wanting to go on the 2WW forum but it just makes it so hard to open up to others when i have you guys..
its a shame that we do have to move on to other threads at certain stages on our journey as you build a relationship with everyone here and it makes it really tough to start again with new people...it would be sooo great if we can all move on together!!! 3 more sleeps till POAS!!!

EmeraldStar, PUPO is Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise, I dunno who I got that saying from, I think it was Londonmiss!!

Mum2B, Welcome babe, I agree it is nice to share with other Gals what you are going through, when they are all going through the same. Before I joined this forum, I used to chat to DH about all of my niggles and girly bits, so he is glad that I have given him a break, the poor thing

    MelissaL, good luck tomorrow X

    Loops, fingers crossed, I PM'd you X

MissK I hope all goes smooth for you this time, Friday isn't too far away, try to relax hun, save the stress for the TWW!!! X

Renee, from the start of my injections to the end, I put on 3+1/2 inches on my tummy, was soooo tender!

MissK and anyone else who wants to listen...................
I ve already started all the psychotic things you get up to while on 2ww!!
    * i try and really focus on every twinge and pang and talk myself into believing that its implantation pains.
    * Everytime i go to the loo, (tmi) i check to see if there is any mucus or implantaion bleeding.
    * Push on my breasts to see if they hurt as much as yesterday...(probably made them sorer from all the poking)
    * search the internet for "BFP no symptoms" "5dp5dt HPT" ant the list goes on!!!!!

The only thing left is obsessing over HPT's tooo early not too early.....oooh god listen to me someone kill me now!!!

Ah, so much to keep up with! How do you all manage it? I always feel completely useless...

So, 2 EPU's tomorrow if I count correctly? GL to both of you ladies! May tomorrow bring you perfectly healthy eggies!

Renee, I can't remember if I said welcome earlier, so I'll say it now (just in case)! FX you don't have many more days of sniffing to go. I always looked forward to the end of that!

Kristy, I would have long ago lost the last tattered vestiges of my sanity if not for the wonderful women I have met online! As you say, having someone to "talk" to makes this journey so much easier! I hope this cycle brings you the family you are seeking. There's a few of us here who have been through it all before, so feel free to ask any questions.

Hugs and sticky vibes to our very long list of 2ww'ers! I expect good news from you ladies!!

Emerald Star - love your comments - exactly what I do!

MelissaI and Loops12 - sending you lots of luck for tomorrow and look forward to hearing some good news.
MissK - goodluck for yours soon too.

    HI to everyone else!

AFM - My thaw went OK (1 day 3 8 cell grade 2). Had to wait until 5:30 after I rang at 4 to be told 'I'm very sorry...(my heart dropped)...but I don't have the results yet'. Luckily I got a call back to say it went OK so I have my ET tomorrow morning. Give me a couple of days and I'll be doing the same crazy things. I def. do the breast check and also the internet search as soon as I am far enough along to get some info. For the record my boobs get sore before AF but when I was pregnant, they didn't change except get bigger about 21dpo

There seems to be so many people on here that I'm finding it hard to keep up with everything ... no doubt over then next couple of weeks I will get to know everyone very well!! Anyway here is my first attempt to cover it all !!

FOA - thanks everyone for welcoming me into the chat. It means a lot.

MelissaI and Loops12 - good luck today - I'm really nervous for you!! But it will all go great and lots of good eggies will be collected!!

MissK - wishing you all the luck for Friday!!

Emerald Star - wishing you all the luck on your 2WW (from what I see of this thread, I wouldn't want to leave either!!)

Lairdoz - I hope that all goes well this morning!!

Renee - I'm very keenly reading your posts as I should start the injections next week!! I haven't really had any side effects from the nasal spray (only REALLY sore breasts - not sure if thats normal - but NO moodiness!! ) - Seems like the bloating is normal through from the threads ...

AFM - I should start my injections next week sometime - so there is no big developments yet!!

    I hope that was everyone!!

    Hi everyone,

I must admit I love this thread and do not want to transfer over to the 2ww. So I think I will just stay right here

Emerald star, I was wondering if you got the message and I totally understand, I know what transfer day is like.

AFM: Well the 2ww hasn't bothered me at all this cycle, I was just concentrating on getting to the NK Cell Test without getting sick and this morning I did the NK cell test , so now just have to wait for the results.

Has anyone on this Thread done Uterine Biopsy to test for NK Cells ????
As I would love to ask some questions via PM

Good luck everyone with your cycles.
    Take care
