Hi 20094me, good luck with your lap on Thursday. Don’t want to freak you out but just wanted to tell you about my experience with my lap as it seems to have been quite different to the other ladies. I had mine 3 weeks ago on Thursday. I was off work for 10 days afterwards with a full medical certificate from my surgeons. I was in a lot of pain all weekend. Was not able to sit in a car until the Saturday night, but I think if you need to then you will be ok doing that (it’s amazing what the body will do when you need it to). It has taken me a long time to recover. I don’t feel that my mind is 100% still, I know it sounds strange but I have trouble spitting out what I want to say (more than usual) and forming sentences that make sense sometimes (these can all be side effects of the aesthetic though). I had golf balling, dyes test and looking for endo done. Please don’t let my experience freak you out, the procedure itself was totally fine, the nurses were over the top lovely, informative and very very helpful. I too would suggest not taking laxatives unless you absolutely need to, I have not gone into detail on this site but let me just say it was not fun (I feel your pain Mez). Good luck with Thursday and I hope you have some answers very soon.

Hey Mez, sorry to hear you don’t have any answers. At least there is nothing seriously wrong though and so many women say that they fall just after having a lap, so hopefully that is true for you, me & Porche. I think I ovulated yesterday (with no Clomid) so I am seeing my gyno on Friday (which is day 21) and I will get her to send me for a BT to make sure. Good luck with your next round of Clomid.

Hey Tammara, I can’t believe how quickly this has all gone for you, it is really encouraging for me though. At least I know if we end up down that path we won’t be waiting for months and months to begin. Good luck with implantation, hopefully it will go as well for you as it did for frustrated, 1st time around, I have my fingers crossed for you.

Hi to all the newbie’s, this site is a life savour. Even if you don’t post all the time it is so good to come in and read about everyone’s journeys, it really reminds me that I am not alone, doesn’t matter what happens someone else has been through exactly the same and someone will after me as well.

    Babydust to all.
    Love Keli xxoo

Hi Porche, I was told to see my gyno in 4-6 weeks after my opp, but I have booked in to see her earlier in the hope that she has my biopsy results by then, I will call the day before to confirm.

    Hi Keli

I'm guessing it must be normal to wait 6 weeks before going back. She is difficult to get an appointment with so I'll just go to my appointment with QFG see what they have to say and then have my appointment with my FS in March. It can't hurt to have a second opnion anyway.

    Hi guys,
    hope you all well.
Porsche, I'm glad the lap went well, hopefully it will be smooth sailing for you and Mez & Keli now after your Laps. Recover well girls. Kim, good luck with your lap, hopefully answers will be found!
Tammara, IVF is coming up fast! You must be ridiculously excited and I'm sure just a bit anxious. Fingers crossed for you!
AFM- Confirmation at last of why I keep miscarrying! I know that shouldn't be exciting, but it can be fixed. I do indeed have a uterine polyp of 11mm long and everything else appears normal, except that my initial 'sort of' diagnosis of PCOS has been confirmed. FS wants me to book in for a polypectomy (hilarious term I think) ASAP. Now Ive just gotta pluck up the courage to ask FS if I can stay on Clomid for a few more rounds, since without it I don't o at all. Sorry about the ME rant!

So, recover well those of you who have recently been surgerised, and Good luck to all others,
    Bec

Hey ladies hope everyones week is going well and everyone is recovering from their laps

just a quick update, had my and my cousins ultrasound today my lining is going well its at 9mm and they say that is good so positive there. unfortunately my cousins folicles are only at 9mm so cant go ahead monday. Does anyone know the recomended size folicles should be for egg retrieval? when i was doing IUI they told me 16mm but the ultrasound man today told her 10mm, confusing.

She is having another ultrasound monday so hope they are growing nicely over the weekend, the positive thing about it is she has about 19 folicles on one ovary and i forget how many on the other side - this sounds like alot to me so fingers crossed they all have a growth spurt over the weekend.

    Hi ladies

tammara I've got my fingers crossed for you that you can go ahead on Monday.

20094me - how did you go with your lap? Hope it all went well for you.

Porsche have you recovered OK from you lap? I'm completely fine now, although I have a bizarre small heat rash thing around the spot in my belly button where the FS made an incision. I got the FS's bill yesterday which was $850, so I'm hoping I can claim a fair bit back.

DH flew home from NZ on Tuesday - the same day I started having O pains, so made sure we DTD. I O'd on day 20, which I'm happy about as I thought the lap would throw my cycle off completely, but it only delayed O by 1 day (I usually O naturally around day 19). So lets hope this time we get a BFP as my tubes would be squeaky clean at the moment. I'm tossing up whether to do clomid for my next cycle or to just have a natural cycle that is a bit longer than 'normal'. I hate taking clomid! Hmmm... guess I'll make that decision if / when AF arrives.
