Kylie - where are you? I am isolated too, live 50 kms from nearest town (prob not as isolated as you), but travel in to work in a town of about 10,000 so can get to an ultra sound if needed. I am doing everything with my FS over the phone at the moment, have only been there once intially, but they have been very supportive, so far - I think one of the nurses are a bit loopy though!! They have told me if I am not preggies after 4 months on this thing, I have to go back to them and and they are going to check all my tubes and stuff.

Thinking about Kylies saga with her GP makes me glad i went straight to the FS because i thought my only hope was IVF, how little did i know. When i went to see him i was pleasantly surprised when he said there were other things to try before IVF as a last resort.

becc - I'm in Far West NSW ... 3hrs to Mildura and 6hrs to Adelaide. I would have to do the same as you as far as phone support goes for the FS, it's just the scans that'll be the problem. Do you mind the drive into work everyday or are you just used to it? lol @ the loopy nurse Personally, I think it's a great idea to have your tubes checked etc. I had mine checked and it gave me peace of mind that everything is physically o.k. On the other hand if it wasn't o.k. at least we'd know what we're up against and what we needed to do to fix it

Tammara - how's things with you hon? Has AF reared her ugly head yet? Yes, I agree that DH deserves a medal for not smacking that doctor! He said that he was angry at the way he was waffling on but his main thought was "he's a freakin' idiot and I need to get Kylie away from him' LOL I agree that it's a good idea to go straight to the FS because it's not easy to find a good GP! I would have done the same thing if it wasn't for the isolation

How is everyone? It's been very quiet in here lately but I suppose most of us are at the start of our cycles so not a lot happening.

AFM - I'm doing o.k. apart from some mega Clomid headaches but yesterday was the last Clomid tablet so hopefully that'll be the end of the headaches too

Im still waiting - its been nearly 3 weeks so should not be too far away but who knows??? hopefully i will have a normal cycle and be able to get the ultrasound and tests done asap and find out how things are going. Cant wait to start the Clomid and hope everything goes well.

I took my very first Clomid tablet last night! Very excited!
I have had absent periods since Nov last year after stopping the pill - just lazy hormones ive been told. So hopefully this will work!

Is it correct that you OV 5 - 10 days after last pill? I have been told a few different things?
How many of you got a Baby first go?

i have had clomid 3 times one angle form it and 1 fullterm boyand have number 2 cooking!!!

aer you having a scan or blood test to see when you o? i had one on day 12 abd the was told when to dtd form there.

Tammara - fingers crossed that you have a normal cycle and can get cracking on the Clomid - but then again ... I hope you don't get AF and instead you get a BFP naturally!!!!

Reggie - Welcome! I've heard lots of great stories about BFP's on the first cycle so I'll cross everything that it happens to you too I was always told that O would normally be 5-10 days after Clomid but of course I can't be normal lol I'm O'ing between CD19 & CD22 - Thank goodness for OPK's or I'd never know when I'm O'ing (Clomid dries up my CM)! I've read that a lot of women aren't normal in this sense so I guess you just have to keep an eye on symptoms of O. Are you temping?

Hi Reggie,
Clomid worked for me the first go in January this year. I have PCOS, endometriosis and had a miscarriage last year from a natural cycle. I really hope it works for you.

Everyone else I lurk and check in often, I really hope all of you are blessed really soon as I find it so upsetting reading about your struggles! Who ever said getting pregnant is a natural thing???? hehehe

Hi All,

Strangely I think clomid's actually increased my CM. I used to get it for 1 day and now it's more like 3 and there seems to be much more of it.

I'm no longer charting or OPK'ing, just relying on counting cycle days and CM to know. I'd love to OPK, but never seem to remember to do it! Or if I do remember to test I've forgotten not to consume too much water.

Sorry for not being round much. I've been checking in occasionally on you all. I think I've put our conception journey on the back-burner mentally and wanted to avoid thinking about it and just get on with life for a while. After living with it for 12 months now I think I needed a mental break from it. I'm not even really sure where in the TWW I am! But I've been reading about you all and keep hoping and praying we'll all get our clomid miracle baby!

Well it seems i have jumped ship to NOT wanting AF to show up. I was feeling very unwell on Saturday and ended up in the hospital and after needles and tests, just before i was sen\t home the Dr gave me the grat news that i was pregnant i was very surprised because ive not started taking the clomid yet so im praying hard that everything goes well for me and also for you all.

Congrats Tammara - that is great news - especially when you weren't expecting that!

Welcome Reggie - I am now on cycle 3 of chlomid and have ovulated on day 17 - I have been taking Chlomid on days 5 to 9, my specialist has said that you usually O 6 to 12 days after your last tablet - so I guess it is true - last month I O'ed on day 20 and the month before was on day 15 - so all over the joint. Good luck.

Kylie - you are way more isolated than me - but can understand - fingers crossed for you this month too. You are day behind me aren't you?

Bonnie - I hear you on the mental break thing. you do need a break from it all and chlomid does not help those moods - I have absolutely turned into an absolute witch this month and can't control it! My poor DH, he has been coping it for nothing!

Thank-you for inviting me, my partner and I have been trying for two years. I have PCOS, I was diagnosed a year and a half ago but have had the signs and symptoms for up to 5 years. I am on my 4th course of Clomid and have been on Metformin since I was diagnosed (850mg).
If you have looked at my info, you may have seen that I am twenty. Lots of people raise their eyebrow to hear how desperately we are trying at this age. I have my own home, I am married and have a great income. When I left high school, most girls went off to uni to become nurses, lawyers, teachers. I wanted to be a mum, and that was going to be my job! I grew up as one of six kids, and my parents bred golden retrievers. When I was just eleven I woke every two hours to bottle feed the sickly pups, I was always the mother hen. So to find out my body was in this state, I couldn't believe it! I wanted to have 7 to 8 kids! I know you will agree when I say that I look up at the sky and say, Why Me??
I have joined these forums looking for hope, and so I don't choke my doctor, as my self-love is rock bottom!!!!!

Welcome. :-) i don't think many people here would question your choices. In fact I'm sure some wish they had started trying earlier. I know I do and I'm only 26!
