Hi Sarah,
I was always told that right up to EPU, i could take any of my pain meds (for my migraines) including ibuprofen etc.
At EPU i was given opiate based IV meds for pain, and then no more ibuprofen, because of the bleeding issue that those pain killers can possibly cause. Just Panadol, Panadeine Forte etc from then on.
I would check this with your clinic but i think you will find, that right up until EPU, you can pretty much take anything.

Oh, and my heat pack was my bestest friend!!
