I didnt have any swelling like that just really sore from the gas pain for a week. We waited 2 weeks before w e got intimate. Good luck
We went under a diagnostic laproscopy, hysteroscopy and dye studies today and noticed tonight there is protruding swelling around the pubic area.
Could this be the residue C02 or just swelling of the organs after the laparo?
Is this normal? Our nurse did not mention this to us prio being discharged from the hospital. We might call the hospital or our surgeon in the morning to check.
On a side note - how long did you wait till you started BD'ing again?
Thanks.

I have had some swelling in the past but if in doubt do call the docs
I had a bit of swelling and i was bloated also for a few days. It will ease but ofcourse if you are worried about anything then you should speak to yur specialist.
As for dtd it is safe after all the bleeding has stopped but your DW might be a little bruised and sore around the incisions so 'be kind' lol. From memory we waited about 2 weeks and it was fine.
Thank you for your replies and words of support. DW is gradually recovering. The swelling has gone down but she still feels bloated. A bruise has developed over her abdomen probably from the lap.
Appears our surgeon also did a d&c in addition to the list in our first post. Still trying to figure out what the d&c was for! We think it could be for the endometrial biopsy. Anyways, will check with our doctor during the post-op consultation in 2 weeks time.
We won't be BDing for another few weeks for sure.![]()
The D&C is quite usual with the lap it is to make sure everything is clean and good for the next cycle GL to you and DW
