TTC & Taking Clomid &/0r Metformin ~ Nov/Dec 2007

Hi Ladies,
Just a quick one. Good to see my temp continue rising so sounds good (although all my o tested were negative...wierd!!!). Sorry to be gross but about 2-3 days after i suspected O I have started to get excess of cervical mucus/discharge in a white colour (almost thrush like but with no other symptoms). I suspect it may have someting to do with the Clomid. Anyone else experienced this.

Theresep - I'm sorry to hear you are bummed and a bit sad. It can easily take over our lives and all our thinking. I get carried away sometimes and have even bought pregnancy mags and books and i hate to admit it but also baby cloths, but then I get really down about it so now I'm trying to not get ahead of myself. I feel your frustration. Take care of yourself

Thanks Kristen160, - i'm feeling better today, just a bit off the other day

I must admit, i've also bought a couple of little baby clothes, they are just so sweet, and it was on special - i couldn't resist! They are in the bottom of one of my drawers!
Glad your temp is still rising - i haven't been temping this cycle - needed a break from it, so who knows what mine is doing ... i'm actually in my tww, but not overly confident i ovulated this cycle, so not really believing i would be pg. I've also had more then usual discharge post O this cycle - also wondered if it was from the clomid.

Kristen: Not to sure about the increase discharge, mine gradually increased leading up to O, although I did have the help of the trigger.

Therese: I think sometimes it's good to have a little something, you never know when you will need it. I have been in the possession of boxes of baby clothes and even a cot for about the last 3 years (given to me by my sister when my neice didn't need them anymore). She even sent me a Baby Bag last week and I am also in possession of 3 baby books and a baby names book as well. I find the books are really good at keeping me informed of what to expect in these pre conception and early conception days.

Well I am now coming up to my 5th day since the trigger shot, so possible 4 DPO and have tonight noticed a small amount of spotting. Only at day 20 in this cycle and having BT on friday to check prog levels. I have been advised not to do a preg test until 17 days passed the trigger, which is the 4th Feb. So I am in my TWW plus some.

Hi Ladies

Well some good news finally, I received the results from my Prog blood test on Friday afternoon and the level was 57.4, I was told that over 10 means O definately happened so 57.4 was a great reading. So now on the TWW for Monday week to do P test. All looks promising so far.

Hi didispunk, yeah only an hour away. Is your FS in Melb or in Geelong??? I was really lucky as we only moved to Ballarat last June and they have a really good IVF/Fertility clinic here so I don't have to travel to Melb for treatment. Also the FS is my Obgyn so if all things go to plan he will deliver as well.

Good luck Kelly.. I am testing on 13DPO.. so iam hopeful!!! My Gyno is here in Geelong, i am seeing a new one Feb14.. if i need to.. So i am going to double up on gyno's. My friends have gone ot the ballarat IVF clinic.. they have kids now..

Hi everyone,
Im up to day 29 now (O day 17). Yesterday I started spotting (started off pink, then browny, now a dark red), almost like just before a period arrives but this morning still just spotting. Last night the deed was done and this increased the bleeding for a brief moment, don't know if that makes a difference or not. How light is it to be considered implantation bleeding, from what I've read this is meant to be pretty light?
Just unsure if what I'm experiencing is a light period and I should start my round 3 of clomid or something far more exciting!!!!!!! My last period after 1st round of clomid was very heavy (may be due to the fact that I hadn't had a period in a while other than induced by primulot prior to starting clomid)
Did a home preg test day 27 (10 day post O so probab;y to early) one of the ones that is accurate up to 5 days before your period is due, and it was negative

. Still trying to stay positive

I'll stop rammbling now just wanted to share my frustration and ask for any opinions.

Dam it I spoke to soon, that time of the month is definately here. Feeling disappointed

, booking in to see specialist on Fri to ask for next round to be monitired. Part of me thinks I should give this round a miss and see what happens as all my tests were clear and anatomically everything is fine but I just wasn't ovulating.

Hi Kristen, our timing is very similar! I have a FS appt this afternoon, and seeing as AF hadn't shown, (i'm on CD29), i thought i'd better POAS this morning. Well, nothing but a @#*!* BFN! Then about 2 hrs later, i start spotting, so that was a waste of time POAS! AND, my brand new 3 pack hpt only had 2 sticks inside!! So i won't be buying that brand again

I will be going onto a 4th clomid cycle, with full monitoring.

didispunk: The guys at Ballarat IVF are great and really supportive, which gives me hope that if the clomid doesn't work and if I have to move to IVF then I am not concerned. I am testing 17DPO and the wait is sooo long. I have had sore BB basically since 2 days after trigger injection and have been having trouble sleeping as well. I can't sleep on my stomach (my favourite position to sleep) as the pressure on my abdomen is too much. I am now at day 27 in this cycle so am unsure if these are positive signs or not. Will have to wait until next Monday.

Hi ladies, I have been on and off the forum for a few months, had to have a forced medical break due to Precancerous cells in my uterus, went on treatment late last year, got the all clear and go ahead in November but then the first cycle failed due to breakthough bleeding and No uterus lining, but we had eggs ;o)))
then OB asked me to have 2-3 months on the pill to "calm everything down" it worked and now I am day 4 of the first Cycle of 08. Taking clomid 2-4, then scan at 10days and we go from there.............Praying this works, I am excited to be back on Clomid, strange as it sounds,

Welcome back ickimum! Goodluck for your clomid cycle ... i saw my FS yesterday, and its all systems go for a fully monitored cycle, so i'm also excited to be doing another clomid round .... strange as that may sound, considering the last 3 have not helped! I have a few extra tactics up my sleeve this cycle, including 'pre-seed' to give DH's swimmers a helping hand on their journey. I'm feeling very positive, so

Hi theresep

I am still exhausted today, was awake from about 3.30am onwards. Started to get alot of cramping and thought ....oh no here it comes as today is day 28. But so far nothing has shown its ugly head and doesn't appear to want to either. So fingers crossed the cramping is just some stretching... Monday seems so far away and I know that I will be waiting everyday for AF to appear. I'm feeling a over it at the moment. It is amazing how with the first 2 failed cycles the time flew by to commence the next cycle, but this 3rd one seems to be dragging and I am impatient normally so that doesn't help.

Maybe a few deep breaths and some retail therapy will be good to take my mind off the wait. I am really hopefully thought that this one works as I am counting down to the dreaded "35" (less than 3 weeks away) and I feel the older I get the harder it's going to get.

Hi Ladies,

Well, I am a week back from the TWW - PG symptoms I was having must have been from the HCG injection - so now I just feel like a royal fool!!
I wasn't booked to see my FS until next Monday but I called today to see if they'd had any cancellations, which they had so I just got back. I explained that I was still getting the painful periods since my son's birth and it felt like it was getting worse and I was beginning to wonder if something else may be wrong and if that was the reason we'd been having trouble falling pregnant? He agreed and suggested a lap (which I was hoping he would), but unfortunately he doesn't perform the procedure anymore so has referred me to a collegue. Am booked in for the day on Wednesday 20th Feb! Am feeling a lot less depressed about the whole thing now, which is great. The last few nights I've just been bawling, so any improvement from that is a welcome one

Oh no, maybe what I am feeling is also from the trigger injection. I wish I could get another Prog blood test to see if it the level has increased from last week to give me some idea if there is anything happening.

Good luck with your lap. I had one done just over 2 years ago with a Hysteroscopy at the same time. It is good to know what you might be dealing with so you know which way to proceed.

Emma - good to hear from you again ... no need to feel like a royal fool, as i also think that anything out of the ordinary must be a preg sign!! This last cycle, i really did have ultra sensitive nipples, which has never happened before, so was wondering that we may have hit the jackpot, but, no, the old cow shows up, cd29 as usual

! Good to have got yourself that early appt ... i did the same in early Jan, and it just helped in feeling that i was moving forward, creating my next plan, and getting the ball rolling .. basically feeling like i was in control again. This cycle i will be having the trigger injection, so no doubt, will have many preg signs, and i may even poas just to see the two lines, even if it is the trigger still in my system ... i've never seen two lines yet!!
Fingers crossed KellyD! How was the retail therapy?

Hope you get the most wonderful birthday present, in the shape of a BFP! I will be 34 this year *yikes*!

Hi ladies I need your help, I have been trying to take preconception Vitamins, I have tried Blackmores and another brand that has slipped my mind but I am having terrible trouble with them giving me a stomach ache, I've tried taking them at night, in the morning with and without food etc..........any idea what is giving me a stomach ache??? someone suggested it could be the Iron.

Hi ickimum - that doesn't sound very nice, all the stomach pains etc .... where do you buy your vitamins from - as there wouldn't be anyone to ask if you're at a supermarket .... maybe if you go to a health food store, then the assistant should be able to advise you? Or, sometimes if i've had queries like yours, i actually go to the chemist, and speak to the pharmacist (the one who prepares the scripts etc).. they are often a wealth of information! HTH
