Question Ouchie back...what can I use??

My backs been aching for a few weeks now, pretty bad most days.
I'm still struggling with morning sickness, so can't take panadol or any tablets. They don't like to stay down...
I thought I'd go buy some Voltaren gel today, but opened the packet when I got home to be told not to use it during pregnancy & breast feeding!
We used to have Nurafen gel, dunno if its any different though.

I've been using deep heat most days for about 2 weeks, but it doesn't really help with the pain

I can barely move at times... Please tell me there's something out there I can use. My SPD is also starting to ache on occasion. I'm a bit worried about the pain of the 2 combined throughout the rest of my pregnancy...

I'm getting a hot water bottle as soon as I can to see if that helps, but has anyone got any other idea's on what I can do? Had my check up today & completely forgot to ask about this

I tried a warm bath... I made sure it wasn't too hot and I kept my fluids up whilst in the bath but it did help my back out quite a lot.

back pain is not fun - nor is SPD

    Get a wheat bag
Also, get a good osteo- my SPD would have been a LOT worse with DD without an osteo's help.
Also, there's the Belly Bra, for day to day support - I highly recommend wearing this!

Yeah its a pity u cant take anything, i dont even think panadol would help even if you could take it. Can u get your partner to massage it for you? Other than that, pretty much what your doing already.

I hope it goes away soon

I plan to get some kind of belly support at soon as I can. I was sposed to ask my gp what he recommends for my spd, but forgot Will ask about osteo.
I'm glad I know about spd this time around. I won't be fobbed off because 'I'm older now'!!

Chiro is good for SPD too. Do you have a support belt? They can be helpful.

You're not supposed to use Deep Heat either during pregnancy - I'm sure I've seen Alan post that somewhere...

Oh and you can take panadeine during pregnancy, at least its stronger than panadol..
