Update on the SRC shorts... I LOVE them. I still have some discomfort, definitely not pain-free, but I am up and walking and that's more than I can say for my previous two pg's! When I take the shorts off to wash them I have a marked increase in pain by the time they are dry and ready to put back on. Put the shorts on... relief within an hour or two. They were expensive, but I absolutely recommend them! (Thinking I need to get a job in their marketing department...!!)

Has anyone used acupuncture or anything before a subsequent pregnancy to prevent SPD coming back in the next pregnancy? We're going to TTC a lot sooner than originally planned, so won't have a lot of "healing" time between pregnancies. It may be the relaxin hasn't left my body before the next one starts and so I expect SPD to come back earlier and harder.

My acupuncturist had suggested seeing her for a few months before getting pregnant again. WDYT?

I'd recommed chiro if anything Tash - 19.5 weeks and still no SPD here. Having had it from 4 weeks with DD2 - its nothing short of a miracle. I was on weekly treatments for about 4 months though.

OMG I went to the pregnancy expo, was A-OK until I got into the car to drive home. by the time I got home, I was unable to move. Still can't, but worryingly the pain has moved from the left lower back to the right lower back. zconsidering waking husband to get panadol...

Mel - was that 4 months before you got pregnant?

Yup. Mine was really bad at the end of my pregnancy with Eden, but I didn't start chiro until she was about 3 months old.

NP Kazbah - I couldn't sleep anyway I hope you can rest up today and tomorrow.

Has anyone used a TENS for SPD? I used it during birth and found it really helped, but hadn't thought about using it for SPD. I imagine it would be a bit of a nuisance in daily life but might be helpful in extreme cases. Just planning ahead....
