If she was the pharmacist then you should definately go back and inform them of the error.
I can vouch for polaramine. I used it when PG and it is the best thing I have EVER used. It does make you sleepy though. I still use it when I need something for hayfever.
I forgot to add before.. I used Polaramine too and because they used to make me so drowsy (not good whilst at work!!) I used to take half a tablet which used to work the same as a full tablet but not make me as drowsy. So maybe give that a try if you want to give these tablets a go.
If I'm having a bad hayfever day, I sneeze and snuffle and itch through work then take a polaramine at night to help make sure I get a good night's sleep.
I think you should definitely go back! This woman needs to know she's giving wrong advice and putting mothers and babies at risk. Hopefully it was just a case of baby brain - I know mine is complete mush at the moment!
well i did go back and she had to look it up on the computer because she wasnt completly sure.....
but yes she did apologize and gave me a full refund and another nasal spray, but i can use this one
I am currently studying nursing & i was curious about it so i looked up livostin & it said this "There are no adequate data on the use of Livostin nasal spray in pregnant women; therefore, Livostin nasal spray should not be used during pregnancy."
Then it goes on to say if you take it orally you need more then 40 mg/kg/day for it too be too harmful. So i wouldnt stress about it as you didnt use much of it
