Hi Belinda. Serum negative RA can be so hard at times! Like you, I'm fortunate enough to have no joint damage, but it's still so frustrating as they can't tell me what this is and how it's likely to progress in the future.

I had reflux problems with salazopyrin too - you do get used to it after a while. It's been about four years now, and it's either settled a heap or I've just learned to deal with it. From memory it is important that you don't take the zantac at the same time as the salazopyrin - it will impact on absorption. I think it's something about needing the stomach acids to get through the enteric coating on the tablets. I had horrendous headaches when I first started, but I don't recall having sinus issues with them. We fixed the headaches by going off the drug and weaning on much slower. I don't even recall having sinus issues listed as a side effect, but it's been a long time since I read the drug information!

If things get bad in winter, keep in mind that you can add prednisone in to help without effecting things with TTC and pregnancy like NSAIDs will.
