I like the name Mackenzie. It is a name with a statement. This little girl was meant to be, and therefore the name is very just, as it is a name that is meant for this little girl. Kiya

em, there are some really lovely girl names. i really liked this one name but never used on my girls, mahalia, and taiyanni is my nieces name and samara. don't be concerned about what anyone thinks, the name you choose will be your babies personality. i have just moved in with mum cause she is really sick and i am here to try and help maintain her very big house! i am off to uni again next week...... so very interesting this year...
storm, so good to hear from you... thought you had left for good. i know what its like to renovate and now i am cramped up in one bedroom with all six of the children..... talk about squashy!
kiya, i am sure you will be like em, real soon too...

Hi mum of 5 wow Ivf is cheaper than I thought it would be...
I would rather try this I think "tell me more"?
who do I see and do i need a referral?
can they still do ivf if you have clamps on your tubes?
I have had 3 c/s and i know I would have another as they refused to let me go natural with my last baby.
so I could give them hell about not informing me of the side affects and hope they will fix my tubes when having bub.
How many fertilised eggs did they Implant? can you opt for 3 to go in just to be sure? Or more???
was it hard the Ivf process in saying that I mean did any of it hurt, the needles, or egg retrieval? did they get many eggs.
wow I am going to ask the doc tomorrow on costs of ivf as he is the one who wants $7600 for a reversal and he does also IVF....
If I had $7600 I would do this but the option you chose is more our budget.
Thanks for your Info and look forward 2 more......

Here is the site WestMead Fertility Centre take a look and see what you think.
Give them a call and they will point you in the right direction.
It was all pretty easy really it was. I made sure one appointment lead into the next one so as to not waste any time if you know what i mean.
Taking all the drugs does take its toll on your body emotionly tho.
But we all managed the best we could(small price to pay for what i have now).
When i went in for my egg retrieval they said that the drugs they use may make me go to sleep but i might stay awake but be very goggy(which is what happened to me. It was pretty uncumfy but no where near as bad as labour.
We got 17 eggs which was good and out of them 12 fertilized.
We decided against doctors wishes to have two embryoes put back(2 is the max unless you have had many fauled IVF attempts). As far as we seen it two was better then one but thats not the way it works so the doctor reckoned(i didnt believe it tho).
So we fell pregnant with twins first go very lucky but one baby only made it to 8weeks. I have one very strong bub now which is just a blessing, over the moon.
It doesnt matter if your tubes are still clamped because with IVF they bypass the tubes and put it straight into the uterus.
So we ended up having 10 eggs left which the lab left to grow until day 6 which is called blastie stage. Not many eggs ever last to this stage but they have to grow them to this stage so as they can freeze them. So we ended up with 4 that are now frozen and safe.As for having a c/s with the next bub they wouldnt let you deliver naturaly after 3 c/s anyway far to dangerous. Ive had 2 c/s and this will be my 3rd

Oh yeah one more thing there isnt a long wait either before you can start i mean waiting list. It took me 6 to 8 weeks just in seeing the fertility specialist first then they refer you and waiting for periods to come.

HI I will give them a call.
Did you have private health Insurance by any chance? as we dont and was wondering if I should wait untill we get some?.
What I mean is did your cost Include a rebate from private health or only medicare?
I'm hoping to get 3 put in as i have misscarried a few times, does not sound like they will let me but i can ask is all.
I know all 3 would not survive.
How long did you stay on the med's? prior to egg collection?
Did your hubby have to give you injection's every day as I heard this is one of them....

Huh who can afford private health insurance with 5 kids not me thats for sure. No all you do is when you go in to westmead for your fisrt appointment you give them $1440 and they will provide you with all the services you will need to get that bundle. Once you have finished your cycle they will give you an invoice that will be able to take to medicare and get about $348 back i think it is. When you go for your first appointment you are normally 1 month into your treatment anyway cause you must go on the pill for one cycle so as its a completely controlled cycle.
They will not put 3 embryoes back in trust me,well not unless you have had many failed IVF attempts. They only wanted to put one back with me but i pushed for the two to better my chances at atleast getting one baby.
Once you have been on the pill you go on a nasel spray for about 2wks to down reg your cycle then the injections onces a day at the same time everyday for roughly 2wks. Once your started it takes about 6weeks. I started seeing the f/s in June then seen the clinic in july egg pick up was 22nd August(i had to have one weeks of extra injections cause i had lots of eggs but they needed to get them bigger) and i was 4weeks pregnant by the 8th of september by memory.
I got my girlfriend to come over everyday to do my shots cause i just couldnt bring myself to do them and my partner did a couple not many tho cause i didnt really trust him,he made me nervous. The shots only last about 14days out of the hole course.
