I am glad you didnt have private health Insurance as I was worried it might be more money, when you paid the first payment do you need cash or can I use my credit card?
my girlfriend is a registered nurse (I am a assistant in nursing) so i will get her to do the shots for me, as I dont trust my partner he would probebly stuff things up.....
when in all this did your partner go in with you?
we live in newcastle so it would be hard for him to attend every appointment.
but his mum lives in fairfield so I could visit her when down there.
I am going to see what their web site says...
Thankyou so much for all the Info, I think I just about have my partner convinced.
Do you plan on any more? as you did freeze some eggs didnt you?

Im sure credit card is fine they do have a eftpo machine there.
My partner only came to the first appointment and then egg pick up.
I dont have any family here so he had to stay home and watch the kids.
He will also have to go to the first F/S appointment with you which is before
you start the hole thing anyway. Because you live a fair way away they might show you what to do in one hit so as you dont have to go in much.
Yeah we have 4 frozen and it was funny i was watching a show yesterday on discovery Health about a family of 12!!!! Why not i have 6 so why stop now. And i keep getting real bad feeling(guilty)about just wasting my babies and putting them down the drain. But then i think about the big picture and think its a pretty dumb idea even thinking of having another when i'll have 6 soon.People already look at me with disgust in there eyes almost like i have 10 heads because i have more then the norm family. So im really in two minds,i did say nomore this was it! But then when they defrost the eggs they dont all make it some do die if not all. Sooo i just dont know, what if they defrost all of them and they all make it! Then im really screwed.

WOW....i disappear for a few hours and look at your 2 gasbags (cheeky grin) Mummy25 i also have the filshie clips and they are still on, and i am going ahead with IVF. When i did my conference call to Westmead with my GP, i gave them a brief medical history over the phone, as i have a few more complications like endeometriosis and DVT's which means my treatment will be a little different, not to mention my age. I am putting 2 back in for several reasons and they agreed to that. They did stress like mumof5 said stop at 2. It doesn;t matter how much you beg to have more, they simply won;t do it. Having had several miscarriages also doesn't allow you to put more than 2 back in either. I can't even count how many loses i have had on 2 hands any more because i have also conceived and lost while clamped. One of those loses was a twin preg at 18weeks. Best of luck with your journey to have another baby. Cheers kiya

Sorry for disappearing off the face of the earth but I had a few issues to deal with.

Emm, I can hardly believe that you are 30 weeks already. I also would have wanted to knock their head in about getting a TL and the so called no side effects which we would all like to differ. I see that you are putting every one onto Westmead. I told you they were quite reasonable. LOL Maybe you should be their PR person.

I hope to hear some good news from you all soon.

I still have not got anywhere due to finances still be tight. I have promised myself if I get a tax return this year I will be getting it done.

i so agree Em.......hubby and i have decided to wait until i get my tax return back this year, only because #1 i will get a great return, and #2 i want to make sure that my new house is on it's way, so when bub is finally here, it will be in my new house not my old piece of wood. Hey Em speaking of houses, did you know that in the last 12mths there have been 8 new estates pop up in our area (Laidley). It is so hard to keep up these days. Cheers kiya

Omg totally know the show with the 12 children, love it....
But their children always seem to behave, and get along....... and the parents dont seem to yell much either....
Mine argue with each other all the time.... and the word MUM is the most used name in our house "mum he did, she did, MUM MUM MUM.......
In those shows the children help the parents and the parents always seem calm and never stressed.....
ask my eldest to help and she says "how much you gonna pay me" What Tha.....
(If my children were home schooled I would be stressed I am telling You!!!!..)
(that show was with the christians who home schooled their children and were at last count up to 15 children all with the names starting with the letter "J")
but there was a new one last night with 12 children 11 boys and one girl, where the hubby played in a baseball team with his boys)....
They all seem to have HUGE houses and Money???
I have a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with 2 family rooms and a dble garage fully converted and being turned into a further 2 bedrooms in the next 12 months (just needs the wall down middle to seperate them) and we will have a 6 bedroom home and trust me my house is not even half the size of theirs on those tv shows....
I am 29 years old and I had my first child at 15 years old (mum forgot the talk LOL) and i am not married even know my partner and I have been together for 15 years, so I get the look alot and having a different surname to my kids I also get the are you their mum or aunty.....
even now the school still call me by his last name not mine.....
we were put on this earth to reproduce as many as we can handle, some pike out with 2, they may have nnice hollidays overseas, and spoil their kids rotten but are they happy???
we on the other hand have never left the state, our hollidays are spent camping with our children and everything we do is for them, never have my children missed a school camp or a friends party (unless they were Ill).
we are not rich but we do the best we can, Like all parents.....
No one should tell anyone that they should stop having baby's or enough is enough, we are all responsable for our own actions and if we want to have heaps of children then we can and we will......
I'll go for the Ivf in sydney and try once and see what happins, if it is ment to be it will....
If not I'll wait and try again....

HI KIYA, yes we have been gastbagging LOL, been finding out heaps of helpfull Info.
I hate these clamps I swear I can feel them and when I ovulate OMG it hurts....
I have dry skin now and I never had this before the clams went on....
and my moods change alot.... (at the moment it is from not smoking, but I have to stop or no baby.....)
I have searched the net and honestly found westmead to be the cheapest, some others said up to $7,000 just for IVF, so worth the drive /trip to sydney....
I hope they try with 2 for me, (just to give me a better chance)...
I watch alot of shows on foxtel which are birth shows and You see alot of complications with multiple births on there. (twins would be nice But one will do just fine),...
    I have had 2 natural and 3 c's.
have had only 3 miscarriages but one was a twin with my daughter (second eldest) and the other 2 in between preg's, not as many as you have had.... But
I believe in fate and if it is ment to be it will happin, maybe not right away but it will happin eventually......
By the way my name is Jen LoL, Nice to meet you, (Both of You).....

Mummy25.... I was reading your post and it sounds so much like my life. I too was 15 when i had my daughter who is 13 but all my kids have my surname i made sure of that just for that reason of people judging.Im 29 and not married but was once. We dont have much money either but the kids never ever go without and are always doing a sport which cost heaps to put them in but its cheap entertainment on the weekends sitting there watching them. I too have a 4 bedroom house with two bathrooms two lounge rooms. We have two dinning rooms and one is almost fully closed in(3and a half walls) so i got a nice curtain and rode and made that into the 5th bedroom. I too have converted half the garage into my daughters room. I got a piece of rope and went to spotlight and got a piece of caleco(cant spell) the lenthe of the garage. I sewed a rode pocket top on it by hand and bobs your uncle a wall at the cost of about $40 dollors and it can be pulled down at any time.
So for the show ive seen them all the J family now has 17 KIDS(out of control).
We have a pretty good system in our house cause I did a roster and its awesome. My two 8 and 6 year olds do the dogs unpack the school bags tidy the bathroom after there baths and set the table and take the rubbish out. And the next day who ever didnt do the dogs does them. And my daughter does the stacking of the dishwasher and the things that need hand washing and put all the folding away. I only started this system 10 months ago but it works and i still have to tell them sometimes but they do it. And they hardly ever get money for doing it cause i forget to give it to them and they forget to ask. But mu daughter get her $49 dollar cap each month for her phone. When you start having more then the norm family there just isnt enough hours in the day. Sometimes everyone gets lazy and they start to stuff under there beds and just being lazy so i call a family meeting and i have a list of things that i found that day

WOW Em, what a system. Wish my house ran like that. I am chief bottle washer around here doing pretty much everything and trying to fit work in between all of that. I'm also the taxi service for the kids to and fro from school and friends houses. I'm referee between my 2 eldest boys pretty much everyday. I'm farmer joe cleaning the horse paddock and looking after the horse and property in general. Then as well as looking after the human family i have to look after the dog & cat families. My life is never dull, but to be perfectly honest i like it this way. The kids do help, but i prefer to do it all myself that way i know it will be done. Well i better get going. Got to finish my cuppa, get ready to do the school run as well as get ready for a job interview this morning, then come home and finish cleaning the house because our accountant & financier are coming this afternoon to tell us about our house options. Cheers kiya
