ETA Without being morbid either, birds are often a strong omen of death in particular circumstances. I wont post here in case I upset anyone, but if you would like to know, PM me and I will tell you the bird omens that indicate a death. They are simply the situations in which many of the above listed birds will indicate death, not just a specific bird. iykwim.
Obviously all of these things are open to interpretation, and the situation in which you are seeing them. This is simply their basic indications. It is sort of like a horoscope in the newspaper - it coud mean anything you want it to lol you have to find the correct meaning
When you are meditating, not being able to 'turn off' is ok. Just sit quietly (maybe when the kids are napping or not home ) and allow yourself to have thoughts. The trick is not to assign an emotional tag to them, or actively pursue the next thought. Pretend, if you can, that your mind is like the strip of headlines at the bottom of the news lol hope that makes sense!! Allow the though to come in to your mind, observe it, then allow it to pass to allow the next. You will find after practice and many attempts that you can do this readily. Also you should find that all the average everyday thoughts will run their course and once you have thought the thoughts, observed and acknowledged them, they will give way to the less every-day sort of thoughts and you can begin to open your mind a little.
Hope that made sense! lol Time and patience is the key, things most of us mums have very little of I know! But a few minutes a day, even while you are just sitting having a coffee or taking in the washing can be helpful. The more you allow yourself to to do this, the organisation and time you give to the thoughts you didn't realise you were having (which may be the key to finding what it is your guides are trying to show you )
