Thats so great Beckles. I havent actually read any books on Dr Sears but it sounds very intuitive anyway. What a clever boy Oscar is!

Just wondering if anyone has used Dr.Sears method of toilet learning. Oscar started about 2 months ago telling me when he had done a wee or a pooh so thought i would start putting knickers on him. He showed the signs Sears tells about. Weeing every 2-3 hours, telling me when he did a wee/pooh etc. So for the past couple of months we have had him in knickers wetting them, as a learning tool. I would say as recommended "feel wees, tell mummy, good boy" - no matter where he was weeing to get him processing the steps to weeing, as in the full bladder, the pressure, the releasing and finally seeing the wee come out, etc I said to my DH the night before last that maybe i was a little too early and he just wasn't ready yet. Well last night he ran to me after his bath and said "feel wees, need potty" and promptly sat on the potty and did a massive wee. He has done another this morning. Wow, how could i have doubted good ol dr. sears! lol. So the practice did work and his little brain was busily processing it all without my knowledge and presto - a new milestone has been achieved. What a fantastic brain the 2 year brain is!
