I just got a reply from AP... He said

"Yes after the procedure would be best to book an appointment. about 7-10 days after the procedure would be best when you are feeling mobile and comfortable.
When you come in we can discuss the options with you."

So im thinking i will do that

That sounds great Nikki. Looking forward to hearing how tomorrow goes, when you are up for it. Sending you lots of positive vibes!!!
I rang the AP but she wasn't there. I will try again in the morning. I'm thinking of changing as well. The one I went to has only metered parking and it is very expensive to park. Just adds on to the AP cost.

What is involved with a laproscopy? I have to get one done in February as they have found cancerous cells on my cervix. Is there a lot of pain involved? Nothing as bad as giving birth no doubt and I got through that!

Queenbee - a laparoscopy is when they investigate the pelvic/abdominal area using a laparoscope which magnafies the area to look for various things such as endometriosis/cysts/adhesions and also to do biopsies of certain areas (likely that this will happen for you). They make a small incision in the belly button and sometimes also just above the pubic area. Depending on what they are looking for they sometimes also make incisions on either side of your tummy.

Can't tell you if it's painful or not... but I'll be able to after Friday! You are under a general anaesthetic throughout the procedure so the only pain is post-op. I'm told it's just cramping and some pain around the incision areas.

    Hehe - thats ok QB.

My mum had a colonoscopy recently. You have to drink this "prep" stuff which is really gross and basically cleans you out 24 hours before the procedure. You will be under anaesthetic for that too so you shouldn't experience any pain. The most unpleasant part is the pre-op stuff!
