Babies room?? am i leaving it late??

I wouldnt worry about it really. Well I lie I would. :P I love being organised. My mum is stressing out about the babys room now, she has been asking me for weeks if ive started lol

We stressed over getting DD's bedroom ready and we have barely used her room

She sleeps in her cot on our room. We had no intention at all to have her in our room- it just worked out that way.

I wouldn't worry about it- your moving soon so why put everything out only to have to pack it all up again?

I would not worry, I have about 6 days to go and bubs room is still pretty much a spare room, I have her clothes washed, and her bassinet set up in my room and the change table in DD1 room. That will do for me until I can finish the room which I can not see happening to soon.

With DS1 we had everything delivered at 36 weeks and set up at 37 weeks, clothes were then washed and put away.

DS2 I washed clothes at 37 or 38 weeks, had bassinet delivered from my parents at 39 weeks, he didnt have own room or cot until he was 7 months old and we moved DS1 to a bed and moved cot to DS2 room. He will not sleep in cot anyway and co sleeps.

It does not matter clothes, love, warmth and milk is all a baby needs they can sleep anywhere.

no, I don't think you're leaving it too late at all! All I had ready was have the blankets, nappies and clothes all washed (well mostly, I still haven't done the bigger sizes), and I only started packing them into some shelves a week after I got home from hospital. I had all the small sizes together in bags where I could find them. DS doesn't have his own room, we co-sleep here too, so I don't have a cot. Probably just make sure you've got all your nappy changing stuff in one spot, nappies, wipes, cloths, water for cleaning etc so its ready. The rest can wait, as others have said, all baby needs is to be loved, fed, and kept warm and clean.

Neither of my kids have had a room done as they both slept in a basinette in our room for the few months. My sons clothes were kept on the floor of his wardrobe and in a washing basket until his draws arrived and DD's were kept in boxes for a month as we were moving 2 weeks after she was born. I have only just finished decorating their rooms now and DD is 3 1/2 and DS is 15 months and both of my kids are fine.
Don't stress about it. There is heaps of time.
