I bought one and didn't use it! I found DS was too high and made feeding uncomfortable, and a lactation consultant confirmed that I was better off without it. I think it depends on your body type and how your little one attaches, so don't think you have to have one. If you really need something a normal pillow/cushion works just as well.
i have a "my breast friend" pillow and love it. I find it really helps, especially with the night feeds when I'm really tired - it holds the babies weight. I did buy it overseas so paid about 1/2 of what you'd pay here ($70 is ridiculous for a pillow, I think I got it for $40). When I was looking, I noticed that they show up on ebay (used - but who cares - the cover washes well).
