Can't beat the Ikea chair! Other than that I would recommend a VERY simple plastic booster seat (literally look at whether it can go in the shower or under the hose to be washed! no nooks and crannies and extra plastic bits) that sits on a chair at your dining table - easy to clean, I would recommend putting a towel or something under it if the chair is fabric (I should have taken my own advice ) but that it what we use now for Mr 2.5 as he is still too little to sit on a dining chair, the Ikea chair wont fit under the dining table and this way we are all sitting together.

I have the Ikea one and love it as well,

but I also have a Fisher Price portable highchair. Has all the features of a regular chair but no legs (it straps very securely onto a dining chair if you want to). The chair pad is really easy to clean or remove if you want to wash it. I got it orignially because we had no space, but then we got a huge house and I would never have changed. I have a real climber and he was out of the straps of the Ikea chair quick smart, so the FP one suited us better for a while. It also converts to a booster seat so it has been in pretty much constant use since DD was 6 months old (she's 5 next month).
