MOT - The prams through ebay that Taurs is talking about come from America. Despite the fact that there is a Baby Jogger HQ in AUstralia they WILL NOT cover the prams brought from the USA even though its the same company. I have rung them directly and spoken to B.J Australia about it.
So if the Seller on EBay imports them from the States and is not affiliated with the Aust. HQ then its an American warranty and she will have to register her warranty details on the American form which you cannot do therefore NO warranty.
If we had problems with our pram in that first 12 months I COULD ship it back to the States but we didn't.
MOT - Yeah, what Nae said. The prams I'm looking at on eBay are all from the US. You can't get an Australian model of the amethyst yet, they won't be available until Dec. So as far as warranty goes, the prams I'm looking at are covered in the States but not in Australia. Baby Jogger are VERY strict about this.
I currently have the City Elite (same as Nae) and haven't had one issue with it so I'm very confident we wouldn't have any issues with the Select either. There is a great pram 'fix it man' (LOL!) in Perth who apparently gets all the prams damaged by the airlines so I at least have one really good contact locally if the pram did need repairs. I figure for the $400+ saving, that could get me a fair bit of fixing done
Hey, look at that, I think I've just convinced myself...finally!!
