I love both my kids (girl then boy). I don't find there are too many differences between the two to be honest. I think environment often comes down to how specific to their gender they are iykwim. I know boys are very affectionate to their mummies just as little girls idolise their daddies. My son is very energetic but no more than some other girls that I know. TBH I think it's more of a second child thing than a gender thing.

The opportunities you have as a mother is awesome. And to me it's something I would look to moreso. In that you have the opportunity to raise a man who respects women, who is not afraid of emotion, who could be a good father, a good friend and a good son. You have the opportunity to break moulds and break stereotypes. This is what I think of when I raise both my children. I want my daughter to be strong. Not to feel that how short her dress is will relate directly to how positively she'll be treated. Just as I want to teach my son that whilst it is important for him to know how to beat his chest it is not all he is. Emotions are not weaknesses and his capabilities are not limited by his gender either.

Goodluck. Boys are awesome Just as are little girls xxx
