Perhaps I am a crap parent then, because I left my kids alone with my dog all the time. It is incredibly impractical to remove the dog or children from the room every time I left. As much as everyone says never to leave kids and dogs unsupervised ever, I am sure it is done a lot more than people will admit to.
You are definitely not a crap parent hun, and nobody is saying that you are, however, as a parent - you take a risk. You know something could happen, if you leave them, but you weigh everything up for your circs and go from there. A bit OT, I have been recently ducking out to get the kids clothes while they are in the bath. 30 seconds max usually but as DH recently reminded me, that is all it takes so I have stopped doing it.

Doesn't make me a crap parent for doing it because I knew the risks (and would get them to yell out to me while I did it ) but I weighed it all up - did it for a while and then decided not to. Hope TMS~ trying to say, not very eloquently that in all these cases you weigh up the risk and decide what you feel comfortable with. xoxoxox
