I agree with Neeny on the antihistamines just be aware of the non drowsy ones as they haven't been in testing as long as they are only recent (within the last 10 yrs or so) to the market iykwim? Duromine helped me when I had a cold.

Also re the panadol/nurofen debate...I got this from the australian nurofen website:

I am pregnant. Can I take Nurofen?
Caution should be exercised with any medicine in pregnancy, whether on prescription or bought over-the-counter. Women who are pregnant should not take Nurofen, unless their doctor recommends it. Nurofen must not be taken during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
So unless you absolutely needed it I'd personally stay away from it, but definitely talk to your Dr.
