Congratulations!

Some gps will order blood tests and maybe even an u/s (especially if you are not sure of dates), but usually this is left for your hospital or ob, etc to arrange. If you are thinking of going public you might not see your carer until 12-16 weeks in which case you will probably want your gp to order the blood tests. If you think you might want the Downs test, this needs to be done at 11-13 weeks so that might actually be before your first appt with chosen carer.
