    Hi everone,

Blahh... I look forward to DH coming home, and yet now he is here, I am still just as exhausted and now I am annoyed and cranky at DH. Seriously, it is like he is going out of his way to irriatate me (although I know it is unintentional), and I am feeling like I have somehow gained an extra child to nag! What is the point in him being there if I heave to tell him to do every single little thing, and usally have to repeat myself at least three times before he actually does it! Gah. He just doesn't think before he does stuff (like stirring up the kids so that the get in trouble, or waking me up for a cuddle because he is awake - forget that I am exhausted and need sleep; and of course when I get grumpy at him for it, I am the mean one, because he just wanted to cuddle!). I could go on and on, but I won't. It is just super frustrating, because I am at the end of my rope, and he is usually (mostly) very good at taking the pressure off and giving me a break. But it is like he has 'forgotten' how to do everything (and how not to do everything).

And he has gone way off track with his eating - and despite waking up every morning and saying he is going to count points today, he somehow doesn't and eats crap, and makes poor choices, and that makes it just that much harder for myself to do the right thing.

I am glad to have him back, but I wish he would realise that just because he is not at work, does not mean he is on holiday.

    Hello everyone!
I had my weigh in with my ob today. Very happy, I have overall maintained for the past 4 weeks (500g loss today from my weigh in 4 weeks ago). Of course I have celebrated with licking the cake bowl and having Turkish for dinner. And tomorrw is my DS2 birthday, so we are having a big family dinner at the Italian place tomorrow night. But aside from that I have still been making healthy choices - and I will be completely back on track with sticking to my ProPoints allowance as of Saturday morning.

My next weigh in is 2.5 weeks away, so I my goal is to simply look at the next 2.5weeks and again maintain for that period.

Week has actually been pretty decent for me - been off work on leave just having a break, so have been eating a lot better. Been having a thing for salad the last couple of days, which doesn't hurt either

Next appt with my ob is next week, so will have to see how I've gone.

    Hi ladies,

Ive been pretty good.. Well its hard to be bad when anything naughty makes me sick!

But I had an ob appt this week and for once in my life I love the scales!!! For a while there I was getting frustrated with my weightloss, according to my scales I hadnt lost any weight in weeks, and in fact I had put on a kilo... But at the ob's I had actually lost weight, and I am now at the same weight I was at before I got pregnant with DD2!!!!! Which also means that in 5 weeks I have lost 6 kilos!!!!!

But on the downside, Im ony allowed to gain 4 kilos this pregnancy, but Im positive I can do that!

BeansBeans - WooHoo!!!! that is excellent! Good on you! You can definitely stay within that 4kgs over your pregnancy if you work at it. Just don't look at the long term so much as breacking it up into smaller goals. I make each goeal between midwives / doctors appointments - and just focus on maintaining / loosing for that time period. Worry about the next block of time when it comes up.

JBM - Yay on the pregnant bathers. I have a pair from my second pregnancy, but unfortunately they are a size 10 - so I have no hope of fitting in them, and cann't justify going out and getting more when I only have 8 weeks left, and this is my last pregnancy.

Cranky Kitten good to hear you have had a good week.

AFM - I have already stuffed up today. I woke up and had a HUGE bowl of just right (11ProPoints by the time I added milk!) - not that bad, I could still work with that. But then I saw the left over birthday cake from my DS2's birthday yesterday, and I am ashamed to say, I had not one, but TWO very VERY large peices. And now I feel sick from overeating crappy junk food. 20 ProPoints blown on cake. Blah. What was I thinking?!?!? I am suppose to be eating about 35ProPoints worth of food in an entire day!!!! And here I have eaten 31 already, and it isn't even 11o'clock! Bummer to have to use up all my extra weekly ProPoints on the first day of my tracking week. On the bright side, at least I have all those weekly ProPoints there to use, otherwise I would be screwed.

Well, girls I think I should be joining you. only just pg (haven't got GP referral to obs yet) and I'm already about 6kgs over what I was when I fell pg with DS (I was 94ish then now 100ish) I know I'm classed as obese for my height (160cm). I've been using my pedometer (aim for 9000 a day atm) and tracking this online (great site walking with attitude - has walking challenges) so that I can try and be stable/lose weight. I was intending to lose more before falling pg but ... hey we are pg now so going to have to manage. I'm hoping that I'll manage not to put too much on this time. Last time round I lost all the weight I put on in the first couple of weeks after birth but I'm hoping that I won't need to be losing too much afterwards this time round.
Food choices for me are not that good always; main problem is I don't do salads - I can't stand the crunch (and taste) of salad veges. Last pg I could barely stand crunchy stirfry veg Hoping to not have that problem this time round. I also need to work on portion control. Be back later but need to try to get DS to sleep so I can finish writing job applications that are due on Monday/early next week...

Hello Leckert. Not liking crunchy vege could certainly make things more difficult, but not impossible. Maybe you could do some warm salads, where the vege is cooked first, or just get you vege intake from cooked vege at mealtimes and fill up with fruit at other times of the day. Good luck with it all.

Well yesterday I was fabulous (even if I do say so myself) and I now feel back on track and in control. I made DH give the rest of the birthday cake to the dogs last night. I was so tempted by it, and knew if it was still there I would cave at somepoint, so I told DH to give it to the dogs, and OMG he didn't even hesitate, he just threw it all out in the backyard! Is it sad to admit that even though I was the one to tell him to do it, I was still a little sad to see it happen. Gosh, the silly emotional attahcments we form with food, hey?

Hhhhmmm.....soup. Yummmo. I should make a big batch myself in the slow cooker. I haven't made soup for at least a couple of months and have heaps of veges in the fridge that are starting to wilt a little.

    Hello everyone,

I haven't been tracking for the past 2 days. Haven't gone completely crazy with what I am eating, but certainly have been much more lax then I should be. So I need to get back on track as of today. Which is kinda scary, because it is friday and tomorrow is the weekend - and I always struggle a bit more on the weekend. But I NEED to get back on track, because I am worried that I am starting to get complacent because I am getting so close to the end - but that is just even more reason to stick with it and be healthy; because I would hate to throw away all my good work and effort this close to the 'finish' line.

How is everyone else going? I hope you are all not checking in because you are doing fabulously and don't need support (not because you are like me and avoiding this thread because youfeel guilty).

    Hey

We all get a little lax from time to time, and wow Misty, you're well and truly on the home stretch now! Best time to make sure you're eating healthily in these last few weeks so you've got plenty of energy stored up for the birth.

I've been pretty terrible this last week or so, not from over-eating (barely eating anything at the moment) but because what I do eat isn't particularly healthy. Looking for soft foods that aren't soup or overly saucy as I had a tooth pulled yesterday and the pain is still pretty bad. On the plus side, checked in with my ob on Wednesday just gone and still haven't gained any.

I'm just making sure I get close to my 9000 steps a day (more likely to be in the 8000s though); had a bit of the niggling nausea too (the kind where you know it's there but not enough to hurl); feeling full quite easily too already so this could get interesting (particularly seeing that I'm only around 4/5 weeks I think).

I'm sorry if this is too OT but I thought it was worth posting here instead of a new thread. I have been really good with food this pregnancy and have been lucky enough to lose weight as time has gone by - however I am noe having massive cravings for coke. I hate diet so it's not an option but might there be an explanation for why all of a sudden I am craving something I have detested most of this pregnancy!!??!! It's driving me mad and I am really trying to keep my weight under control for the remainder of my gestation.
