    Hi DD

It's not business days. It takes that long for testing because they have to wait for enough cells to grow so they can check them out. Cells don't work on the business calendar.

Hope its not too much longer,

    take care,

    Kate

I had a very similar thing happen to me when I was awaiting Amnio results. I know it is so very stressfull waiting.

What I did was contact the Dr who did the amnio directly and got him to get me the name of the person doing the test and contact details. I then called, every single day. They were very understanding about me calling. I just hated waiting and if I called every morning at least I wouldn't spend the entire day by the phone.

Fingers crossed its sooner rather than later.

Kate that is just what I said, what the cells stop growing over the weekend and clock back on on Monday! Silly girl!

I have decided that I will (try) to wait until Wednesday or Thursday and if I haven't heard anything I will call and request to speak with the specialist.
I might just mention to him also that he should speak with his receptionist as she is giving out incorrect information and causing added stress in an already difficult time, for me, as I had my test on a Friday, this would of added an extra 6 days (Saturdays and Sundays) to my waiting, that is an extra week, that is the last thing you want to hear, especially if it is not true.

I am feeling a bit stressed tonight, just to think I am naturally a patient person, they are testing that aren't they?

Just about to settle down for a dose of Home and Away and a cup of tea.

Hopefully it isn't to much longer.
